This scope is used but in perfect working order, no dings or scratches, the marks on the tube are the remains of the sticky tape used in the mounts, the scope has never been mounted on a centre fire rifle only a .17hmr, it is fitted at present with target turrets but the standard field turrets and covers are included in the sale along with a sun shade tube, fantastic scope for the money, rrp is £437.99, Uttings of Norwich who seem to be as cheap as anyone are selling for £369.99 so this is a bargain, scope has the Nikoplex reticle. Postage costs to be agreed, payment in cash, paypal (+fees) or BACS transfer £225.00 I cannot seem to workout how to upload pics, I will email to anyone interested THIS ITEM IS ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE SO MAY BE REMOVED AT ANY TIME

I was out with a guide near Boston on Thursday, he set me up with a magnet with 2 dead birds and a couple of deads on the ground, there was a strong flightline crossing the far end of the field but there was no cover so I set up on the back of a small wood opposite, the magnet definitely pulled birds of the flightline but only the young birds would come right in, the mature birds seemed to slide about 80yds to my right after an hour or so I pulled the magnet in which killed it stone dead, I put the magnet back out about 60 yds to my left and the dead birds in front which seemed to draw them closer, when the guide came back late morning he put a second magnet out 80 yards to my left, the young birds still came to the deads better than the magnets but the more mature birds started coming straight at me so at least they were in range, mostly high driven and some rangey crossers, eneded up with 88 in the bag, so a good day in the end, the magnets certainly made a big difference but moving them around until the birds came into range was the key to it Mikee

What is your favourite hull for reloading?
mikee replied to nabbers's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
are you useing the resize die on the press?, if so they are generally not very good unless its the super sizer type, I have a super sizer mounted on my bench so I remove the collar type die from the machine mikee -

What is your favourite hull for reloading?
mikee replied to nabbers's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Game bore Black Gold are my favorite for reloading, the brass is long enough to get inside the crimp tube on my mec machines before too much pressure is applied, it reduces the risk of bulging the case which sometimes happens with short brass cases. mikee -
here are my two, Sunny 3 1/2 years (yellow) and Fern 11 1/2 years (black) mikee

ive recently got a .308 Remmy 700 sps stainless but the stock was pants so I had it bedded into an H&S Precission stock my local shop had second hand, I put the 8x56 Schmidt of my HMR onto it and I love it, it shoots a dream, i bought a box of Hornady 168gn A-Max and a box of Lapua 150gn Soft points, it shoots about 1.5" with the Lapua's and about.75" with the A-max, I didnt really notice any difference in recoil which was gentle with both, but I do shoot from a fairly stable platform, with a bi-pod and the Northstar I can see the bullet hit its mark through the scope, I still love my .243 but I think the .308 will get most use from now on unless there is lots of walking involved. After shooting Harnser's Ruger a couple of years back I wanted one and now ive got one, superb caliber. mikee

its got an Ase North Star on it, when my FAC came back they had missed the mod off so I took the pic before I got the amended cert back with mod on there, Its a lovely gun to shoot and the recoil is less than I expected, I can watch the bullet hit and the animals go down in the scope which I didnt expect to be able to do mikee
