I took my 243 out friday afternoon to check zero after its annual clean, 7 shots fired at 160yds, the first was a flier but not unexpected after a real deep scrub out clean, next 3 shots went high and left but a nice 3/4" group, a quick few clicks on the scope and the last 3 shots a 1.5" group, I think the last group would have been a bit better but the rifle was getting hot after 7 shots in just over a minute. certinly good enough for me mikee

when I zero my 22 I have it set up on sandbags and wriggle it in tight and pointing at the bulls eye on my target, like this it will shoot a ragged 1/2" hole at 60yds, but no body ever does all that when shooting in the field, if you can ralistically hit a ping pong ball or small match box EVERY shot like others have said, that should be good enough to hunt, with practice its possible to learn the hold overs or unders from 10 to 75yds, a stable platform makes so much difference, free hand or off sticks max range might only be 30yds but of the roof of a truck the 75yds may be achieable with practice mikee

There was a thread running in the early part of the year where PW members were dieting, I was wondering who's still on it, or given up or lost all the weight they needed. I'm still on mine and go to my slimming world group every thursday evening, so far I've lost 30lbs since the 6th of jan. mikee

Well done mate, chris is a superb bloke, I have stalked with him about a dozen times over the last 18 months or so, the only problem is he's tall and slim with long legs and its hard to keep up when youre short and fat with stumpy legs, Euston is a fantstic place, wher on the estate did you get the buck mike

Christmas eve afternoon about 15 years ago I was in the local pub several pints of Holsten fighting larger the wrong side of good when my fishing mate came in and said it was a perfect afternoon for a carp and as i was fairly well oiled he would help me with my tackle round the lake, 2 rods baited and cast into the lake i sat slumped in my chair when after about 15 minutes one rod took off, another 15 minutes later and a spanking mirror of just over 34lb, my p.b was being photo'd, we packed up and went back to the pub, all in all the trip lasted about 90 minutes from pub to pub mikee

Having been a BCO for the last 10 years, but not any longer, I was always happy if plate straps were between 1200 and 1500 apart with min 6no 50mm screws, same with gable straps screwed to at least 3 solid nogged rafters mikee
