  1. Cheers Alpha Mule, mine's ordered.
  2. A friend is selling this motor, S Reg Ford Explorer with 144k miles on the clock (just run in) Good Points. Full Leather interior. DVD/Sat Nav. RECONDITIONED GEARBOX IN MARCH AT 136742 MILES WHICH COST AN AMAZING £2115.00 and its still under warranty until March 2011. Tow Bar with single electrics (although it has never towed in my ownership). Runs extremely well. Body work is in good condition for age and only has the chips, scrapes and dings associated with a car of its age. Certainly NO RUST WHATSOEVER. No timing chain rattle. Intake gaskets and modified tensioners fitted. Full service including spark plugs and antifreeze which are good for 5 years. Lots of reciepts and bills available. Bad Points. Short test (end of November). No Tax due to being registered disabled - although if it sells at the asking price or close to then I will take the new owner to the local DVLA office and purchase the tax for them. It will need a tyre sooner rather than later. Very slight blow from the center join on the exhaust. Other than that there is nothing else bad to report - it really is a reliable workhorse and shines up well when clean. Other Stuff I have a spare front differential unit, rear air shocks, 2inch lift spring shackles and a haynes manual should the new owner wants them. He's looking for £1150 ono. Car is at North Shields, Tyne & Wear. (I might be able to get it a little cheaper for a PW member if anyone is interested ) I'll get some pics asap. ATB John
  3. It's the twinpack paul, we use two way's and they help a lot so i would recommend getting some.

  5. Binatone Action 950 Two Way Radios are on sale this week at Aldi for £29.99 from thurs 21st Oct. These radio's normally retail for around £45 so might be worth a look for anyone thinking of radio's. http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_15960.htm
  6. Hi oscer, to PW. :look:
  7. Looks like that will do the business, have fun with it.
  8. Hi sv-mark, I have the std Tay's and they are very warm so I don't think you would need the Tay sports. I went for a size bigger but to be honest I didn't need too as the same size would have been big enough for also wearing thicker socks in winter. One thing though, the chunky soles on the Tay's are very good in muddy fields but a little bit slippy on wet/icy concrete/tarmac. If I were to buy new muckboots then I think I would go for the Esk as it still has the high rubber (easier to clean) before the neo starts and they have a more general purpose sole, hope this helps. Hi viking, not trying to get into an argument here but, The issue with the steel was one of the tests they did in the doc, the main fact is that the steel did not melt but it did get so hot that the steel lost it's structural strength and just sagged. This had the effect of pulling the walls of the building to the inside which gave the look of an implosion. It only took this to happen on 1 floor then the weight of all the floors above had the effect of pile driving the building down into the ground. They did a test in the open air with a girder above a bath of aviation fuel and within 4 minutes the girder had failed and sagged with the heat. Your right in the fact that it is very interesting to see what happened and I have watched a lot of programs on this but personally I can't see any truth in the conspiracy theories. The program I watched is on Nat Geo today at 16.00, The 9/11 conspiracies (or catch it on nat geo +1 at 17.00, just noticed the time :look: ) ATB John
  10. Yes they work, we put 6 out and they always get some interest then we just add to the pattern as they drop. :look:

I think the conspiracy theories are complete and utter nonsense thought up by people with very little between their lugs or the thought that it could make money, which it has done! I watched a doc this morning about this very subject and the conspiracy theories all came to nothing when fully investigated. One of the theories was that they had been brought down with demolition charges but they spoke to demo/explosive experts and the demo men said that it would take up to 6 months to prepare buildings of that size for demolition. conspiracy theories = poppycock
  12. Yeah, it's mainly blacks that we shoot as we don't get big numbers of pigeons on this permission. Cheers. :look: In all the years I've been shooting, I've never managed to get a magpie ...... yet! Cheers.
  13. Went out last sat (4.9.10) and the farmer had the same problem as my last visit, blacks pecking at all his freshly wrapped bales and he wasn't a happy bunny. We parked in the middle of 2 rows of bales and put out 6 decoys but no hides or nets, and waited to see what would happen. Within minutes they started coming in and at times they were flying just 10ft above us which was a bit of a suprise, they even came in to land when we were out cleaning up the decoy area! We ended the morning with 24 blacks and 4 pigeons but should of had a lot more, next time I hope. . To be honest, they came in so close sometimes that by the time we had got over the shock and decided on our target .......... they were gone . Here are some of the bag.
  14. Your giving the impression that you can't handle the drink m8ie and it sounds like your getting old when you need a lie in! ( I wish I had rung now just to hear how bad you sounded)
  15. He is away on hols and my other shooting partner was at work. I was going to give you a ring to come with me but the forecast was not very good and I was not very sure if I was going myself, next time m8ie.
  16. Now, before anyone thinks this is going to be a massive bag .......... it's not but it's my biggest to date for a day. I went to my permission for 8.30 which is a lot later than i normally would (i like to get a very early start) because the rain was pouring down as I was getting my kit ready. I nearly decided to give it a miss as there were others things I could have been doing but thought, what's a bit of rain ....... I can only get wet! When I got to the farm I was told that the black stuff was hitting his newly wrapped bales and he was not a happy farmer, so would I try to keep them off to which I obliged. I had a wander through the woods on my way to the field and managed 1 Rook & 3 Pigeons within half an hour which was a good omen, then I could see the field he wanted shooting and I could see why . I only had my cartridge belt on which was quickly empty so I had to trudge back to farm where my car was parked for more supplies, I decided to use my car to get back to the field as I had too much gear to carry but I was a little wary as it was still wet and I drive a mondeo . I just managed to get the car back to the field and had a couple more hours on the Rooks, finished a very enjoyable day with a personal best of 15 Rooks, 4 Pigeons and a dirty car! Could of had a lot more if I was not shooting like Mr Magoo! only 14 in this pic, My dirty car (note to self, 4x4 needed)
  17. Excellent shooting, well done. I can only dream of those numbers.
  18. He sure looks pleased with himself, well done.
