A terrible accident happened near us exactly two months ago today. A 13 year old boy died after being accidentally shot. Please be careful. You would never be able to forgive yourself.

Baikal guns have come a long way since the soviet era. They are now much more refined and higher quality than they once were, and represent excellent value for money.

I saw a converted Lee Enfield in a local gun shop for £50 last year. It had been in for months. How much was the Remington? Don't often see such guns here.

More a case of whether you fancy the look of it or not. It will be very heavy and bulky to carry around as opposed to a Webley BA

In my opinion, .410 adapters are pointless because. 1, the cartridges are more expensive 2, the shot pattern and pellet travel is poor as the wad is too small to push the shot all the way up the barrel, 3, you are better off with a 24g 12 bore cartridge and / or subsonic load

Springs range from about £5 to £10. Yes, 12lbf for all air guns. As the springs age, they lose their strength.

You can get smoke pellets from your local plumber's supplies.

True, older rabbits have a much stronger earthy, herby taste.

An old 2-stroke engine with lots of oil in the mixture and a length of pipe from the exhaust poking down a rat hole works wonders!!

Ferals, in my experience will feed on just about anything. Be careful handling them - they carry as many nasty diseases as rats. (see http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=2939)

By a "pre-charged FAC", I assume you mean a pre-charged air rifle over 12lbf. It has only ever been a section 1 firearm. A pre-charged is only a pre-charged FAC if it is over 12lbf. Self-contained gas cartridge air weapons (such as Brococks) are the only ones affected by the new laws. Standard pre-charged air weapons (with air reservoir) are unaffected.

Ever noticed that when you are walking by, crows remain on the fields and in the trees, but as soon as you have a gun with you they are off!
