It can be both ways, Generally i have found that the FEO contacts the land owner and makes an appointment to see himand clears the land that way.

MK38 and myself were out last Friday had the magnet out and they weren`t really comitting so took the magnet in and put 2 floaters out and they just ignored the decoys altogether, put the magnet but closer to the hide and they were commiting nicely, some landing for us.

Basically look at a pump action, where the action cycles by your arm, with a semi auto this is performed by the gases and recoil produced from firing a shotgun cartridge. Also semi auto all the way out of the two, purely for the reason that when clay shooting and pigeon shooting pumping a shotgun for a quick second shot can be slow.

Yes, it`s best practice advised by all FEO`s and a standard set by the home office, although in the case of semi autos putting the magazine seperate from the gun works just as fine. It`s all part of making it as difficult as possible to use your rifles should anyone get hold of them.

Spotted them and in the market for a new scope didn`t know what they were like in practical use. would be mounted on a .17hrm and a .22lr.

I have seen these scopes on fleabay but didn`t know what the quality is like, Illuminated Scope Also Another scope Or Last scope They look ok but not sure on quality, like the idea of illuminated for low light etc.

Goto maplins.co.uk look on there for resistors etc etc. thats what i did. cost me about £3 to make a controller that does my lamps and my magnet. i have one i bought from shootwarehouse but not sure how waterproof it is so made some cheap ones.

With the new drilling equipment it is very precise and drills deep (mine 5 inches) plus there is hardly any overspill. If you have a bean field or any type of newly drilled field you can trick them into landing thinking there is something there but you need them to be in the area first though. on my area they still want the rape, until the barley starts to shoot through.

I offered to take DTH out but have had no replies. I`m sure MK38 will testify that i have some very nice land and it is a fully genuine offer. i believe MK38 is looking to come again so it can`t be that bad.

A) learn from your mistakes How do you manage to use so much oil that it drowns it? 1 or 2 drops on moving parts is sufficent, a few drops on a tissue wiped over metal parts is fine, no need to spray gun oil everywhere. C)only time will tell if you have damaged anything.

on my first app i was allowed .17hmr, .22lr, .223, .308 & 7.62. the reason is i have land and belong to a traget club, Kent had no worries about granting me any calibre i wanted just didn`t like duplicate calibres on an initial grant.

Hmmm my personal opinion is that you can`t wipe the things out, they breed 3 times a year and vast qantities escape the guns each year as believe it or not they learn.
