That's really bad and could have been far worse - imagine if you had not been there, your other half may have been in big trouble. I must say that if anything similar happened in my house the dog would be leaving in a box.

I think you may have problems with condensation bolting directly onto concrete - I would put, say, a sheet of polystyrene or other insulation between the 2?
-
Why risk damaging the carpet? Can you not just bolt it to the wall?

Spot on stevo - now let's watch him ask for permission on, say, 100 farms in and around MK freely admitting that he shoots pheasants (which is indeed legal) with his Airgun and then count the number of invites he gets. The MK area is heavily shot over and landowners are inundated with shooters wishing to clear vermin, many even willing to pay for the privilege. Airgun users come way down the list when finding land as Shotgun/Firearm owners are generally far more effective and, dare I say, trustworthy as the risk of losing your ticket is always a concern. Not knocking Airguns btw as 90% of my shooting around MK is done with just such a tool but you need to be top of your game to stand a chance against the powder burners and this lad, in my opinion, has some way to go. I have about 6k acres of shooting and could get him shooting within days but I wont be investing in him I'm afraid so I'm out. But I still wish him the best of luck.

crazycooker, you are a Gentleman Sir, you have my respect but I have no doubt that Molly will pay you back a thousand times over. -
I had a Toyota Corolla Verso for 2 years on the Disability Scheme, I had suffered a Heart Attack, lost an Eye and just had a double Transplant as well as severe swelling in my legs thru fluid retention (the fluid often became infected and put me into hospital)on top of this the Transplant team had damaged the "pipework" and, on average, I suffered 3 UTI's a year that normally ended up with me in intensive care. NONE of this was visible (apart from the eye if you look closely) and I was questioned often when I used a disabled space. Whilst I am fully aware that many people do not deserve a car it might be worth remembering that a great many do. I am eternally grateful to the people that run this scheme because without it I would have been in real trouble.

They do indeed HR but its called the whisper if my memory serves me right? Shame the OP did not do a little more research on the ethics and etiquette of shooting as I shoot a fair bit around MK but there is no way I could entertain inviting him.

Lay the gun on a table and connect the filler hose/adaptor (make sure that you twist the connector once the I shaped piece has gone thru the slot on the female connector of course) - put some newspaper under the gun and sprinkle Talcum powder over the front of the gun/connector - when you start to fill you should see exactly where the air is leaking from - if it's the connector then the o rings are most likely the cause but if it leaks between the male and the reservoir then the reservoir o ring/s are faulty and need replacing. You might also need PTFE tape between your female adaptor and your whips 1/8 bsp fitting. BTW - just looked at my fitting and the female has a Dowty type washer between it and the 1/8" BSP female.
-
Pheasants?? I'm gonna bow out now.
-
Check the o rings (x2) on the male connector very carefully for cuts etc - clearly visible on the front of the gun.
-
Still not clear - new push fit connectors gun & hose or new type connector gun & hose i.e does it still have the push fit adaptor ( pushes on with a sliding collar that you must pull back then snaps forward when in place)

Am I missing something here? If it's putting out 11.something ft/lb then velocity is nowhere near 1000 fps unless you are using felt pellets. The Shadow is also a budget gun that is spring powered not gas ram unless someone has been tinkering but why would you - the Ram would be worth more than the gun. Don't want to insult your gun but it would be more suited to plinking than serious hunting in my humble opinion.

What type of filler probe? seem to recall that the 300 series originally had the push/snap on connector - the later have the push on slotted thing that needs twisting once located - exactly which parts are "uprated" ? If you have the original filler then the female part ( connected to the whip) has an o ring inside - might be worth checking there? If you get really stuck then I'm not a million miles from you and I have a push fit AA connector you are welcome to try - just the other side of Aylesbury to you.

Try cocking the action before filling.

I find simply asking for shooting on a first post rather annoying. There are opportunities around MK if you care to do some groundwork and get yourself out there but , in my opinion, you are off to a poor start - your profile, for example, tells anyone who may potentially offer you help, nothing. Apologies if I seem a little harsh but I think you need to realise that shooting permissions can be hard to come by and some people may never find their own shoot. However, you can help yourself by introducing yourself a little more comprehensively - at the moment I could invite you to an evenings roost shoot only to have you turn up with an Air Pistol. NOT a lecture and NOT my intention to insult or deter you as I really do hope you find something, I know of a few opportunities in the area so they are out there.

Does it come off? I cannot see any screws nor do the gun spares diagrams show it available as a spare - I fear it may be glued on ( probably with Gripfill knowing AA ) but if anyone knows how it comes off I will give it a go.

"Benching it for a while ",chris? It's so pretty that I'm struggling to leave the thing alone for more than a few minutes - I'm giving it regular coats of Walnut oil and that seems to be working on the wood but the recoil pad so far shows no signs of giving up it's 40/day aroma.

Yes Mice - same set up with the same owner owning approx. 5000 acres, I believe there are 6 of us "volunteer marksmen" in total with each being designated a particular area but we do have access to all the land if we want it - I tend not to venture outside my area as I feel that it is "poaching" on someone else's patch but if the guy in charge asks me to shoot another patch for whatever reason then off I go. As for offers of help I'm afraid it is not that simple because of the risks involved and anybody wishing to join the group must join a particular local club and attend for at least 6 months ,after this period the club owner will decide if he believes you to be a good shot and a trustworthy person - without his say so you cannot join. - Insurance is compulsory and must be shown at the final "interview" which takes place at the head office. I do know that next season they are interested in increasing the number of shooters but new members must be able to shoot weekdays as the grounds are very popular at weekends - I have had to leave the woods several times over the last couple of months because of members of the public wandering off the paths and into the woodland itself (to be fair they have every right to do so) and this is a major pain at weekends. Update 2:50 this afternoon and the carbine has started to earn her keep....16 grains of AA Field delivered exactly where the cross hairs indicated between Nutty's eye and ear meant one very dead rodent not having to worry about hunting for Easter Eggs this year.

I'm sexually self sufficient and growing tired of it

Sorry Tony - for some reason I have a double post - AA Fields I sent you are 5.52 sir - open the tin in the shop before you part with your cash and check for signs of damage.

Spot on Mice...shot No40 about 3 weeks ago and bought an RM8 to celebrate but I misjudged the weight of the beast and my failing health has made her unusable for hunting. Picked up the S410 carbine for a snip - gun is in 9/10 condition with the stock being the star of the show. Few issues with accuracy initially with a slight vertical string of about 3/4" vertically but a quick trip to Willards in MK saw a new breach and rear bolt seal fitted for pennies (cannot fault these guys) and now we are getting a 10 shot ragged one hole group with AA Fields at 25 yards . Still being sent requests for Squirrel control but over an even larger area although they seem reluctant to come to the hoppers and the last 7 hours have been without success - normally we are stopped mid March but the landowner has decided to keep filling the hoppers till the end of April this year - over 140 shot this season with your truly still being highest scorer - but then few people have the luxury of being able to shoot 24/7.

A few years back TS had a huge truck with a display trailer on the back advertising their work and it was parked outside Tesco in Buckingham. We arrived to pick up a few bits about 2 o'clock in the afternoon and I decided to wander over for a butchers. Turns out that I am the first person to enter the trailer since 9 o'clock that morning and I had my choice of 5 members of the team to chat with. After chatting for a while I asked why they had not done anything about the illegal DVD's that were a job to avoid at our local Sunday market - "unfortunately Sir, we simply do not have the manpower" came the reply !!!!!!!!!!!!! What a bunch of useless pancake flippers.

Just picked up a very nice used Mk3 S410 carbine with a tasty Walnut stock but it smells like the gun has been smoking Woodbines for most of it's life - anyone had a similar problem and, if so, did you find a quick cure? If the smell cannot be removed I fear she will be living outside from now on.....

If their policy is to take a 25% deposit to confirm a booking then the booking was never confirmed by taking said deposit, then I doubt that legally they have a leg to stand on. Lets just say, for arguments sake, that you had all turned up tonight and they had no record of the booking - pretty sure that they would be playing the " no deposit - no booking" card.
