What sort of money is she gonna let you spend?

Bought one new in 1980 as my first ever "real" Airgun, I can still remember my father laughing when he noticed that it had a scope on it. I used it heavily for several years but I was never impressed by it's accuracy and it certainly could not compete against a mates 77 - this prompted me to buy the 80 eventually...now that was simply superb. The Export version ,I believe, had a Monte Carlo stock and a 22" barrel and was heavily promoted as being superior to the basic 35 - in fact it was no more accurate and less powerful.

Why not buy a reader and diagnose the faults yourself? - they are cheap enough nowadays. As for not being able to diagnose a third fault - I think that is billhooks.
-
At a guess I would say that if the instructions mention using before any particular date and no date was displayed (sounds like the label may have been removed) then your case is against the supplier.

Evolution often sell off the saws they have used at trade exhibitions - mine was as new, evolution Rage £50.

Built by Gamo I believe - not even a real BSA .

The finish on my S410 is as good as new despite being treated to regular blood splashes (often my own....I tend to bleed a lot due to medical reasons that I wont bore you with) and she's got to be 8-9 years old - finish is so good that I can see my face in the cylinder (which is not good cos I is well ugly) so maybe you just got a bad one Matt?
-
AA make the S510 ultimate sporter which I think is stunning?

With a decent size Motorhome you will find that visiting some smaller attractions is a nightmare, wherever you go the beast goes with you. With a Caravan you can leave it at the site and just use your car as usual.

My response to the RSPCA's "Do you like Animals" has always been "Yep...As long as they're cooked thoroughly"

Only just come back to this thread and now wish I hadn't, so sad for a Dog to die in such a way, Bless Him.

Timpsons did mine a few years back - they sent it away and it took a couple of weeks from memory, but job was a guddun, seem to recall it was less than £20.

My issue with Daystate is not only the price Maxwell and it's certainly not jealousy - I could buy one if I wanted and not even need to think about the price (and I apologise if that sounds a little crass).
-
My licence expired about 5 days ago and I applied for renewal in November....nothing from Thames Valley yet despite emailing them regarding a section7 permit.
-
Amen to that Timmy.

I got a quote online....£2k worth of equipment (a lot of people have far more than that)....£48/year - £54. if I opt out of paying the excess (which it doesn't say how much)....am I doing summit wrong?
-
Jesus wept....this has been on here all day and it's not sold?? My licence is awaiting renewal otherwise I would be banging on your door Sir. Look at the wood, stunning if it was re-oiled and that's without considering the engraving.

Well the long awaited shock news from Daystate is finally here and haven't they done well to keep such a radical redesign quiet. With Giles Barry now seemingly firmly in bed with Daystate who better to reveal at the British Shooting Show that the new £1500 Griffin will no longer be Black and Silver...no Sir...the new "must have" from Daystate is now......................wait for it.....................Silver and Black. Who could have imagined such a crutch wrenching total deviation eh?? I apologise to those that love em but come on, you couldn't make it up.

What an ill conceived piece of tat....with the magazine so tall the scope needs to be correspondingly high which causes major headaches with the loopy trajectory of a puff gun.
-
Wouldn't have a Daystate if you gave it to me - overpriced, overhyped and truly awful engineering quality. My MK3 ( made when Daystate were owned and run by er....Daystate and not some Spanish investor) was the worst gun I have ever owned, underneath the shroud the actual barrel looked like it had been manufactured by Mr Magoo and if you didn't point the gun at the ground to cycle the magazine then the whole shebang jammed up solid. There is NOTHING that any expensive Daystate can do that cannot be matched by many PCP's costing a third of the price - they might not look so pretty and might not be so impressive when deciding who's got the biggest weapon down the local but they work the same, my MK3 was truly rubbish yet was one of the first airguns to cost a grand.....sold it in the end to a guy who stripped it for parts....poetic justice in a way. After 41 years of Airgun use and now shooting purely as pest control I use the AA S410....NEVER let me down....NEVER malfunctioned, if I put the crosshairs on the target then the gun just gets on and puts the pellet there, power JUST under the legal limit and stupidly accurate, £400 used. When deciding which Airgun to buy it might be wise to find out which maker wins the most Trophies.

My licence expired over a week ago but no signs of a temporary yet.....and no answer to me emails either.

Who foots the bill in cases like this I wonder

If he's chipped then there must be some way of tracing him - are the chips not traceable to specific Vets? Someone, somewhere is missing this lad

Now that's a good idea Longbower.

Aldi sell "essentials" bacon at 95p/ (at least 8 slices) and Tesco sell 6 rolls for £1 so even if you put 4 slices of bacon in each roll and only charge £2 each that's an outlay of less than £4 for a return of £12 minimum-not bad surely .....£8 profit /6 rolls minus your gas.
