  1. If i was faced with this problem i would just ask around for someone with ferrets-but it might be a bit late if youngsters are about-you could snare them or just carry on laying and waiting for them-if they are really timid i would use a .22 silenced rimfire from 60-70 yards back.I cant help but think that you may be a little impatient -why not enjoy the sport while it lasts?-not a criticism so please dont be offended-but once they are gone so is your sport.
  2. Ive never heard of baiting rabbits but im sure someone on here has-if they are lamp shy why not lie in wait near the burrys and shoot them as the light fades? im guessing that as its a golf course its not smothered in rabbits and that each population is quite concentrated-should be easy to control the numbers if you just wait for them-restrict ranges to where you can be sure of a clean kill and wait till they are away from the holes before shooting them-if one makes it back to the warrenb kicking and sqealing then, apart from being cruel, you can kiss sport goodnight for a fair while.
  3. Please dont take offence but why did you spend £200 on a barrel when you could replace the gun for that?
  4. my hw80 was a few pence over £20-next day insured-royal mail will transport but parcel force dont.
  5. ask local farmers-plenty around mk
  6. Not sure how your neighbours would react if you started trying to attract rats into your garden-im pretty sure that would be illegal-try local farms and you might get lucky.Unless they are a in serious numbers you rarely see them during the day-about an hour after sunset and if they are there you cant miss them.Shooting rats is one of the most exciting uses for an airgun-sometimes they are so close that you cant focus a scope on them.A number of years ago i was invited onto a farm that was over-run with them-when we first arrived i thought that the farmer was having a laugh at my expense as we could not find any rats at all. Then it got dark. The following day my shooting buddy and i invested in 2 semi automatic 9mm garden guns-it was the only way either of us would return!
  7. I would look at the HW90-out of date , i think, but built to last-they are powered by a gas-ram.The only springer that "springs" to mind as being relativly quiet is the Air Arms tx200-perhaps the .22 version as the slower pellet may make a little difference.Have you tried talking to your neighbours?-they may have a good reason for concern (kids in the garden for example)-perhaps you could reach a compromise as to certain times of the day.You could let them know that you are keen to be reasonable and that if they continue to call the police they may be charged with wasting police time.
  8. Relum t2oo for a few years-bought a HW35 with my first 2 weeks wages.
  9. the little girl that walks thru our house at night-even the vicar cant get rid of her.
  10. hi-bought an s200 but no manual and the pdf on the AA site is a bit vague-my trigger is fine on the first stage but once resistance is felt it creeps for ages before firing-which screw do i turn?-thanks in advance + anyone got a silencer going cheap as the things louder than my rimfire-bruno.

    Bank scam

this scam can be worked 2 ways-they either want you to verify your bank details to gain access to your account then rob your account or open others using yours as a verified account or the newer way is to actually put money into your account using a copied business cheque.your account shows the money as being there and several banks have even confirmed that these funds are in users accounts.they will then contact you to say that they have spotted their error and would like the money back as you have no right to it-however you may keep say 10% as a fee/apology.Normally they ask for a bankers draft or some form of payment other than a personal cheque. So off goes your money to them-meanwhile the bank finds out sometime later (and it can be months)that the initial cheque is a forgery and washes its hands of all responsibility-you are responsible for the lot-nice people eh?
  12. Bali-they tried ebay last year-no takers!
  13. Anyone want a Stuffed Badger in a nice wood/glass case-used to be a centre piece in a school hallway but no longer deemed suitable-free to first person-collect only in Bucks.p.m. me and i will get back 2u asap.NOW RE-HOMED..
  14. no worries but take the rust off first or the particles may stick the the breech when the shell expands upon firing.
  15. slowly does it-every time-halving your pace doubles your chance of succes.Stay calm once you are sure that you can kill at the range you are shooting from-forget that its a rabbit and treat its head as a golf ball -once the shot is off practice freezing until the shot strikes home-good luck.
  16. A sparrowhawk for sure-but they dont tend to pick on birds as big as pigeons usually-great photos.
  17. I really feel for you ,Rob, the worry of going thru any major change is bad enough let alone when you have no control over it.I realise that its hard to find a positive side to some situations but they do sometimes occur.Have you considered a complete career change?-you might be surprised at what you could enjoy doing if, say, you had no choice.I wont bore you with too many details of my situation but after 25 years as an engineer i found myself in your shoes and eventually took a job as a school caretaker-now i wish i had done it years ago.Try relaxing during your time off and take a good look around you-there is usually plenty of support agencies that can help you-try them all as its what they get paid for.If you think of this as the start of something potentially life changing (for the better i hope) then it perhaps wont seem so bad.The very best of luck to you and enjoy your time to yourself-bruno.
  18. you carry 12 mangles around with you?-are they easy to swing?
  19. Ive got an old screwdriver but its a pozi-drive-would that be best for continental pigeons or would it work over here?(would the bird be officially dead or just screwed?)
  20. I know its difficult to be exact but roughley how many fills would i get from a 3ltr divers bottle into my s200?
  21. just done RFD TO RFD today-only an air-rifle but still has to be done this way-went thru Willards in M.K. couldnt have been more helpfull+freindly+only £10-my other RFD in stoney stratford wouldnt budge from £25-will not be using them anymore.
  22. I worked at a vehicle dismantlers yard about 6 years ago-a lot of the lads bought written off cars and got the bits trade and sold them on-some cars (tends to be the more common ones) are written off for stupid reasons and its normally the cost of parts that make them a write off and not any structural damage-BMW headlights can run at £450 each-so a light frontal on a 5 year old car if the airbags inflate would be borderline .Some of the most stupid i came across involved cars that had been in water-once the water level exceeds the axle the car is a write off!!!!!!!!!! I think everyone should do a stint in these places-you will soon realise that cars have very little value once damaged-i wouldnt hesitate in buying one-ok so you lose when you sell but then you pay a pittance for it in the first place.
  23. I normally sell mine to local pub/restuarants at £1. each gutted-demand by far out strips supply-i seem to recall a butcher in Stoney Stratford (nr,M.K.) putting out an appeal on local radio for rabbits last year as demand was so high!
