  5. Hello David Could it be as simple as the person at the club who receives the request for a day ticket to email the committee members and ask if they have any objections to Joe bloggs being taken by Mr Wildfowler (who is a member of the said club) on the clubs marsh and if they agree then problem solved? The guest will be insured by BASC. As long as Joe Bloggs only has a limited amount of flights during the season. Regards Hcc sorry to the OP for going off subject

  12. I have only had 5 flights this season due to my personal circumstances, I did promise to pester ww and his apprentice Uncle Albert to have a few flights with them but that will have to wait till next season Might just get out on 20th to remind me what the marsh is like and what the sausages are like in the cafe Regards Hcc
  13. The amount I have seen today was incredible, but how many have I not seen going over? The only reason I saw the second lot was I saw folks in the street looking up so I rushed out the back of the house and saw them going West.

  15. Another couple of skeins just gone over, even folks in the street looking up
  16. Just seen three massive skeins of Pinks go over my house heading West, couldnt see their eyes though. H
  17. That sounds a very contented statement I would say this - There are still a lot of my club marshes I haven't been on, I am more than happy to stay where I am and continue my apprenticeship Regards H
  18. I am a member of South Lincolnshire Wildfowling Club and I have had loads of offers from WW and ayano3 and off members to take me out and I would like to thank them for that. The club membership is around £50 + Basc which really in this day and age is peanuts. Due to being 2 hours away and other circumstances I dont get over to the marsh as often as I would like but its there when it suits me and when I can get, so as long as they keep accepting my subs I will be a member. I just love getting out on the marsh. Its not for everyone but I just love the environment of the marsh, the sounds, the sights, the smells everything. Sorry to the OP for going off topic, and I can remember you talking about this subject when we went out in November, good luck with your choice. Regards H
  19. I cant for the life of me what happened to mine. Back then you could buy a car out of the "under £25" column in the Sheffield Star newspaper, if you were feeling flush you could get one out of the "under £50" column.

  23. A couple of weeks ago I had made arrangements with all concerned that I was going to have an evening flight today Thursday 29th January. All was going well until it flippin snowed again!!!! At about 11am it was "Daaaddd can you fetch your granddaughter as they have shut the school because of the snow" The school is about seven miles away in Baslow but because of the snow and traffic stuck it took me and the missus 2 hours and 40 minutes to get there and back. When I got home my son was waiting at the door, he had abandoned his car in town and wanted a lift to fetch my other granddaughter from nursey at the other end of town. Needless to say I didnt get to the marsh yet again This was my drive instead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p5vX0elWaw Best laid plans of mice and men and all that.
