  4. +1 ps watch that post count chatterbox
  5. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to reply and message me about my post I really do appreciate it. I think that I will just keep running it and not spend money messing with the paintwork as it doesnt seem cost effective. I might just paint some of that jenolite on it, do they do it in 45 gallon drums? I do still like the car though and I dont think the doors will drop off anytime soon so it should last me another few years at least. Regards H
  6. Eating at night is my big problem, thats where I will have to start and eat by your rules, well done to those already lost weight, I am jealous. Thanks to the op for starting the debate. Regards H
  7. Flippin eck, its a hard life !!!!! lol
  8. Its a 55 plate ML I got it with 29,000 mile on and its done 103,000 now but its still a nice ride and I like it its like an old pair of slippers A chap I know with one its done just shy of 370,000. Looks like I will just live with the rust and just not wash it. Regards H
  9. Oh dont get me wrong I dont intend chucking loads of money at it I was just wondering if there was some way I could paint something like "Jenolite" is it called ? To slow the effects of the rust? Or just leave it? Regards H edited to say does Jenolite fetch paint off if I pasted it onto the rust without rubbing it down?
  10. Do you know I was thinking exactly the same as you, as the op I am up to 16 stone and really need to loose some weight, let me know when you find that ideal diet fenboy please.
  11. My car has rust spots/scabs in numerous places and a chap quoted me £500 to "tidy it up but could not guarantee that it wouldnt come back" So what are my options? I have tried years before on other cars rubbing them down myself and such but they have always looked a dogs dinner. I will be keeping the car for a few years yet as I have only had it 6 years, so is there some rust stuff that I can just paint on that would stop it getting any worse? If so would it take off the other paint around it? A few pictures below to show the beast and the rust. Regards H
  12. Can you post a link please edited to say found it.
  13. 4 smoked out and finished with dogs out of a pheasant pen this morning Total = 36
  14. What time is tea time? Enjoy them. Regards H
  15. I like to read about your exploits with your grandson, It is clear that both of you benefit from the outings. My son was never really interested in shooting as a sport (even though he went in the Royal Marines and Iraq) so he didnt go out with me. I now have two granddaughters so I doubt they will get into shooting sports either so I envy you having Conor to accompany you and hopefuly learn the "tricks of the trade" The pleasure that kids and grandkids can give is immeasurable. Thanks for sharing. Regards H
  16. I think that you are in a difficult position really because reading between the lines a lot of clubs have clauses in their rules that say "dont spout off about this club ont tinternet". Also no one will come on here and say come and join our club because we shoot x amount of duck/geese every time I step on the marsh and by the same token no one will say oh that club is rubbish. English West coast clubs seem to be well subscribed and sometimes very difficult to gain membership, Some East coast clubs are well subscribed and others have vacancies I think its a case of which clubs have vacancies and how far you are prepared to travel. Thats just my take on your quest, probably not a lot of help but its a starter, someone is bound to disagree. Good luck. Regards H
  17. You know what they say " the sun shines on the righteous" I was as dry as a bone. I arrived "late" as not to interupt anyones morning flight roaming/quartering on the marsh.
  18. Did I read that you went out last Thursday FB? If so I must mave just missed you I got there at 10.30ish, the purpose of my visit was to set a track on my Garmin etrex 10 over the bridge and to the side of the river so that I can find it in the dark sooner than falling in every creek on the way. It took me a good hour to find the "spot" even though I had been before with Lister1. Even though it was a 4 hour round trip it was worth it for the info and good just to be on the marsh. What was funny though when I got to "the spot" at the side of the river I could smell Indian food cooking Anyway I saw the Brent on the way out and so did ping pong, she cannot resist the urge to say hello to them all Regards H
  19. I have been thinking were you the chap sat in a white connect next to an ML with the rear door up and a crazy terrier in the back?
