  1. You could buy an out of test cylinder that still has air in to refill the gun but the idea of a test is so it`s safe, I personally would`nt recommend it. The best option would be a cylinder which is airgun specific, 300 bar, surface use only, the gauge is part of the valve assembly, the test on these is every five years If you buy an ex dive bottle, the fill gauge and hose is a separate connection the test is every two years on these. Tests are between 40-50 quid so not cheap if your doing it every two years, any dive shop can re fill for you but they will only fill an in test cylinder.
  2. I doubt if a lot would tell you all about it, my dad never talked about it, I did some work for an old guy once, he was one of the last to leave Dunkirk and one of the first in at Normandy, to them it was something that had to be done and they just went and did it.
  3. I have used magnum primers in 357 with 4.5gr of GM3 powder when nothing else was available, I still have all my fingers and did`nt blow my rifle up.
  4. I have a .22 Bsa Airsporter and that seems to like RWS Superfield, stay away from the wasps the quality of these has gone right off, I have a Webley Omega that was deadly accurate with the old Eley wasps but it patterns like a shotgun with the new ones. You could also try Superdomes or Accupel, best if you could borrow some different brands to experiment with.
  5. Pietta model, same as advertised here, only mine is case hardened frame, flame blued cylinder and barrel, comes with everything to get you shooting, powder flask, correct size caps, balls. Pm me your email for photo`s price etc.
  6. I`ve got one of these for sale if you are interested..
  7. Yep, these came out around the time Co2 pistols came off ticket and all the Umarex models started to appear, I still have some somewhere..
  8. I traded my .177 Scorpion against an R10, but I used to fill to 190bar and got around 70 shots from it before it needed topping up.
  9. There is a 25m air rifle range/club at Northcoates, near the airfield.
  10. Hi mate, I`m in Oldbury and have a collection of Brococks, just serviced my Tacs if you need any help give us a shout.
  11. We brought our car back from the insurance company as it was cat c, un economical to repair ( new bumpers front and rear ) we had to have a Vehicle Inspection Certificate, £50, done at a Dvla inspection centre. It just confirms vehicle is not a ringer, we had no probs re insuring it.
  12. I had a .22 Parker Hale one years ago and I swopped it between Co2 pistols and airrifes, I eventually gave it to a mate who put it on a Ruger 10-22 on which it was really quite when using subsonics, I would say there is no difference.
  13. As Al4x posts, send some paperwork on the outside of the goods stating faulty/ warranty return, just make sure you photo copy everything at least twice, customs do have a habit of messing up and charging again.
  14. The power of Supermarkets in reverse, but you missed a great opportunity there, you should have said he galloped off, instead of scuttling away
  15. If I remember rightly the track at Elvington is not all that big, but I think you get to drive a variety of cars which is good. I went to one at Silverstone organised by Mintex which used a good part of the track we did four laps each in four different cars, not too bad, filled an afternoon. If he`s into cars, he should enjoy it.
  16. Try these, not too far from where you are going. http://www.airgunspares.com/store/department/25/SCOPE-MOUNTS/
  17. I had this happen when we insured the wife`s car, Go compare had entered the wrong details into their database.
  18. A young lad at our club has a QB78 in .22, not too bad a gun at 20m, open sights, bolt action easy to use etc, may be worth considering as you would`nt have to worry about the cocking effort you need with a springer.
  19. Bsa have provided the Scorpion and Ultra to Scout and CCF that have Diopter sight fitted also there is the AA/Cz 200T, might be one of these.
  20. Yep, I`d go for the no insurance answer too...
  21. Call me an old cynic but in a hundred years time banks will still be running the world and signing petitions will still be getting you nowhere . All we can do, as said above is vote with our feet and bank elsewhere.
  22. I`d be interested to know, as it`s my second hobby next to shooting, they liken shooting to pornography so do they discriminate against that business as well.
  23. The wood grips were going for around £50 per set, new from Uttings some time back, not sure if anyone other than Umarex do the sights but they discontinued the adjustable ones a few years back, the do come up sometimes in the second hand market but usually go for a lot of money.
  24. Have a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JjhCWpmiAE&list=UUAXRQOBHKbuhjqBiEYSBMcQ&index=56, at around 10 minutes 50, sorry my mistake it was sixty one meters, Sweetheart
  25. Have a look at this http://www.passivent...re_removal.html in conjunction with the above comments. We are using this a lot in older single brick properties, etc it`s very good system, no more black mould.
