    BSA ULTRA

Remember your POI may change with the moderator off, but if it shoots a group at 25/30 yards.........

    BSA ULTRA

Glad you are nearly there with it, I fill mine to 190bar and JSB Exact with a 4.52 head size seem to work quite well, as do Bisley Magnum in the same size, although every barrel is different and what pellet works in one may not work in another, you could try another pellet and make sure they are not clipping the moderator on exit, I suppose you have already tried shooting with the mod off to rule that out though.

    BSA ULTRA

Hi, is it the Ultra Se, could be a couple of things, what pellets are you using, what pressure are you filling to and does it have a moderator fitted.
  6. It`s ok, you can have it back now, I have finished with it...........
  7. I heard Stevie was asking everyone if that really was ShaggyRS6 over there.
  8. These can be fettled for very little money, have a look here http://activeshooter.co.uk/showthread.php?t=24538
  9. I have a .177 R10, I was going to have one when they first came out but held off because of all the reported problems, apparently all these have been addressed now The one I have is a Mk2, it is just over two years old and the only problem I have had with it was a slight drop in power, it went from 11.4 to 9.5 fpe, this was fixed in seven days under warranty so hats off to Bsa service dept. It is pellet on pellet at twenty five yards using Jsb exact pellets and not to shabby at fifty if there is no wind. I do find my set up to be a little heavy compared to my S510 but that may be just me being weak,,so tend to shoot as much as I can of a bipod, I`m sure you will not be disappointed if you decide to buy one.
  10. You mean there is another calibre beside .177, wow............, no seriously you will be fine, I have shot rats with.177 for years no problems, as mentioned it is all about shot placement.
  11. One on here, if it helps http://bsaog.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=54671.0
  12. Yes,but what ever you shoot will be just as dead at 10.5 as it would be at 12 fpe, don't forget the more pellets you shoot after a tune, the power will go up a little.
  13. Nice choice of pistol, great can mangler, I use Geco or RWS Co2 pellets, in all of my Co2 guns, you don`t want anything too heavy,
  14. You have to persevere and basically badger the so called professionals until they are fed up of you and take notice, my lad was born with the two main arteries of his heart reversed so lacked oxygenated blood reaching the brain, anyway cut a long story short we were advised by the specialist after five hours of heart surgery that he would be left with some form of learning disabilities, some may not show up until he got older. He showed signs of all in the above mentioned posts, Dyspraxia ,Autism, Asbergers etc, etc, luckily we had a good doctor who referred us to a specialist who basically ruled them all out, after months of voicing our concerns at his school about his behavior he was diagnosed as being Dyslexic, but only after we paid for him to be tested, the school just said he was a "naughty child" and they didn`t agree with the labeling of children with a specific disorders. He is now twenty five, has no end of qualifications for one thing and another, a job looking after special needs children at a local nursery, been signed off from the heart unit, has two small children of his own that he looks after and he organizes his own and the children s lives, a credit to himself. So don`t give up just yet
  15. You will be lucky with the Fire station, the Health and Safety police got there first.
  16. The generosity of the guys on here never fails to amaze me, that`s a good offer as you will struggle without a spring compressor, unless you have the strength of the Hulk and as many arms as an Octopus.
  17. You need to strip it and check the cylinder, the buffer washers tend to perish and leave a gritty residue which could score the cylinder, I found an old mark 1 last year, got the bits from John Knibbs to fix it up, spent around £50, it`s doing 10.5 fpe, I could get it a bit higher but I will put some pellets trough it first, they are quite basic and easy to work on yourself.
  18. Looks like you have done everything you can to try and get it to work, shame but looks like it needs to go back. I`m not a great fan of the gas ram system, mate of mine had a HW 90 in .22, you could get a nice small group at twenty yards, go for a cup of tea, come back to it and it would pattern like a shotgun in the end he part ex`d it against a BSA Ultra.
  19. What caliber and what pellets are you using.
  20. I just wondered if you could fit one in then your problem would be solved
  21. The jubilee valve is the safer slow fill valve, so worth checking it`s working correctly, the connector in your link is the same type as Air Arm supply, the threaded bit that the hose screws to is where that restrictor screw fits.
  22. Not sure what fill adapter you have, but does the Air Arms fill adapter not come with a screw to reduce the air flow when filling, my S510 had one but I removed it as the bottle has a slow fill valve fitted.
  23. Hurry up they will be banned soon, you will need a end user certificate, a valid reason to purchase, six forms of I.D and a license to have fun
  24. Have a look here http://www.sportsmatch-uk.com/air-rifle-rimfire-rifle-1inch-medium-range The OP12C is the mount recommended for BSA`s with the sloping back block, as for a scope anything gloss black from that era, Tasco Silver Antler, Nikko as mentioned, Simmons etc.
  25. Just had a go with the new Smk Xs 501 twin Co2 bulb, bolt action, very good open sights, £109.00 from local dealer.
