  1. hi, looking for waterproof trousers 30" waist, must be completely silent and preferably APG. atb Aaron.
  2. nnless the clipper has a custom handle, it's not hand made. mora clippers (also known as frost's moras) have a factory built rubber/plastic handle. also the factory sheath is plastic so you must have a custom sheath.
  3. does it have parralax?
  4. i love this show! did anyone see that spearfisherman who could hold is breaht for 6 minutes and walk on the bottom of the sea with no weights!!!!! amazing how your body cna adapt, are we seeing a new race of semi-aquatic homo saipiens evolving in that string of islands?
  5. on the contrary, if the farm is fairly far from the city, the ferals will have an excellent of diet of grain for animals. if this was so, i would eat them jsut as readily as i do woodies and collored doves. sadly, im never far enough from a city for peace of mind.
  6. hi mate, how many rabbits cna you fit in it ?

    RATS!

glue boards are really cruel unless you can check them every hour with a rifle.
  11. don't be a brand snob like many on here, harris is just a name. i have a cheap chinese copy 9-13" bipod which cost me £20 and works jsut as well as my harris. edit- before you ask, the harris was a gift from my dad.
  12. great pics mate but everytime i see a thread entitled "shot a kestrel" or "shot a buzzard" on the recent topics list i immediatly think "bloody hell, some idiot has....oh its greengrass!" i'm still not used to it!
  13. hw much for you to get it tested?
  14. taking a pigeon everytime with headshot just requires skill and most of all paitence (waiting for a pigeon to keep its head still) i used to shoot pigeons in the chest with my old .22 air rifle when i was younger and no it dosent damage meat but i found that there was a small percentage of pigeons flying off with a puff of pellets. ever since i have started taking headshots with my .177 air arms 95% of my shots have been quick clean kills and any slight misses (eye shot, clipping shot) have disabled the pigeon enoguh for me to run over and quickly dispatch it. i would never recommend a heart shot over a headshot. there is to much thick done protecting it from a front on shot, and the only time i would recommend a shot other than a headshot is when the pigeon is facing away from you and a between the shoulder shot is easier and equally effective nocking out the heart and vitals.
  15. umm, mods why have you moved this to wanted section? i'm not actually looking for a game bag off other members, i'm looking for advice on which one is best. please move it back to guns and equipment or i'll be forced to make another thread. I use a canvas army webbing bag, cost £6 from an Army surplus store and has 2 side pockets and can fit 5 rabbits at a push. falcon- cheers for that mate i'll have a look.

  21. when magpies and other corvids are nesting they dont want a brid of prey near there rood so will immeardietly tr and drive any bird of prey near there area away by landing and cawing at it.
  22. ah but a side lever is mechanically superior over a bolt. anyone who's ever owned an s400 or s410 will not the horrible gutted feeling when you take what seems and easy shot at a pigeon or rabbit only to be greeted by a blast of air in your face and the quarry flying off unharmed with the the pellet dropping way before it reaches the quarry due to the lack of power. this is when the bolt isnt put down properly and can be easily flicked up by catching on a fence or you accidently flicking it up with a limb whilst stalking. with a side there is no chance of it accidently being flicked out of place. theoreticly the s510 is superior to the s410. in every other way the guns are equal though. the superlight is the same but has about 1lb shaved off it. the only improvement on the trigger is a small spring to stop it flicking around when th erifle isnt cocked. personally i dont like this as the loose trigger was a great indicator that the rifle was uncocked.
  23. happy new year! anyone see the south bank firework display? amazing!
  24. with a springer your really pushing it at 35yrds. remember: gentle hold with your trigger hand, dont grip it, just enough to pull the trigger. dont pull it into your shoulder, just gently rest it against your shoulder. gently rest the gun on your open palm, dont grip it. if your going to shoot off a hard surface put your palm between the surface and the gun. set targets at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 yrds to find out your trajectory. your maximum range is the range your can group all your pellets in an area the size of a pound coin. remember that wind will mess with your pellets a lot, so try to zero your rifle on a windless day.
