  2. its a great auto works well an early model might have problems on the extractor claw later models were modified and have a better claw , it will not let you down , and handels like a dream .. enjoy if you get it .
  3. you can never go wrong if you go for any beretta shotgun most of the models differ on cosmetic styles , lanber is a good gun also but it will never beat a beretta thats for sure......
  4. i think you have to get basc involved if you want to solve this , i think there is no other choice from what i read in most of the shooting magazines some police depts can be a pain in these things . but do not give up fight for your shooting rights
  5. i think the best bet is to change it to some thing else the problem with cheap guns they either come out fine or are full of trouble , i think go for something better and add some more money.. good luck
  6. thats one heck of a gun i have shot it with our police force here [malta] .i tell you she's a wild brute. i do not think you can get that off a gun shop that is a police/army issue and is not for civilian use that can fire lots off different cartridges like tear gas -messages - explosive cartriges -rubber bullets etc . legally i think you will be in trouble mate i hope you do not want the armed police behind you ........
  7. i was in the gun trade for many years and in my country(MALTA) i was the agent for escort apart from other makes . well it is not a bad gun for its price the mechanics in it is copied from the franchi auto and none of it is done by beretta rest assured . your problem is the magazine tube spring and feeder . what i suggest you do is from the top of the mag tube release the spring and slider and check it out try to open a bit the spring and assamble everything again and see how it goes . while i was in the uk lately i was testing the new extrema 2 and i tell you it is a gun difficult to beat it is recoil less light and fanatasic to shoot now my favourite shot guns are bennelli's and can not complain about them but i tell you the extrema is on my xmas list . Also please do not try to compare the escort to berretta material wise believe me . there is no way in hell that you can have them on the same shelf but as i used to say to my clients for its price the escort is a very good gun and it is the best of the cheapest as i have been to there factory and they are 1 of the best 2 there are in turkey,. it will work fine with 32g cartridges upwards but make sure that the cartridges you use have a good rim as some times it can be a bit funny on what it cycles . i wish you have a lot of enjoyment with your new gun it is a good gun to start off on till you go for an upper auto model .
  8. i go for wood cock and do rough shooting but no1 is the pigeons they are so much fun and a break at Will does me fine i can never get enough of it but any way looking forward for the next one cheers all guys and hope that you have fun running after the woodies there's plenty for every one its just that you have to be at the right place at the right time and stay focused this time we used sipe rc 32 no6 and they were great giving a good punch .
  9. had a great shoot last week for 4 days with William Beasley and his boys bruce and matt in oxford and last and not least his father phil . we had a great time and got 650 pigeons between 4 guns . its been great and looking foward for an other couple of days in march . it was a great pigeon shoot and we had a lot of fun . it is so much fun putting up the hide and not knowing what the day will give and its not the number but the qualitity of the shoot .
  10. i use express 32g no 6 and do great shots with them although victory 30g no6 also come second favourite and also do there stuff . i think we should ask the woodies what they thing
  11. most of these shotguns come form turkey i was in the gun trade and used to import quiet a lot of guns from there especially escort which aren't bad guns but for a bit more i would stick to a european auto like beretta benelli fabarm browning winchester and bit more but is more hassel free and last longer and thats what counts in the field
  12. auto is much better for rabbits and pigeons for 2nd and 3rd shot you will be more on line as with an auto you have less muzzel flip 2 of the best brands are beretta and benelli around

    hi every one

    hi and wellcome
  14. kikan i come to the uk from malta if have been to Will a couple of times and have booked for sept of this year .... Will can give you a good time his dad an even better time believe me talk to him and book he won't let you down can't wait till sept will prob be there before for a couple of days if Will can fit me
  15. one of my close friends has used a fabarm for 10 years and shot with it all the time and never had a problem only now has he changed to a benelli auto which is lighter and handles very well i think you should look at a benelli i have used for the last 15 years they have fantastic mechanics and easy to strip and clean but if you have found a good fabarm at a good price it is also worth thinking about for it could give you alot of years trouble free
  16. i have always shot with autos from the age of 17 thats 25yrs . i have 6 12g autos and a 20g . i love to use them for pigeons or ducks for which i use mostly a benelli 121 camo its a fantastic gun i also have a benelli beccacia model which is 6lbs in weight and with no kick at all i use this when i am out with the my pointer for quails . i will never be with out an auto it is part of my life as i would not be with out my s/s or o/u ...
  17. i have a benelli 12g auto model beccaccia it is just 6lbs and fanatistic on recoil have fired up to 34g in it no probs . there is the comfort 12g slightly heavier but also very well balanced and with no recoil whatsoever . and i also have a winchester 12g mod23 pigeon grade with does not kick and is about 6.4 lbs and it is a great gun to shoot with but a good one will cost you about 500 pounds but its money well spent
  18. totaly agree with Gemini well spoken
  19. wind keeps pigeons low and brake up large flocks and also muffles the gunshots but you must setup in a sheltered field from the wind for the best effect having it come from behind and then you get a good kill ,
  20. first of all if you use steel you can not choke more the 3star or 5/8 english standard . i have shot pigeons with 32g no 5 steel express and killed pigeons clean up to 40 yards i use a beretta camo auto 12g and use teague chokes the patterns they make can not be beaten by any factory choke believe me . barrel 26 ins and i use the extended choke .when i use lead i shoot 6 32g and have taken pigeons even up to 50 yards with the same choke. about trap cartridges the problem is that the steel or lead will be much harder and will not flatten on impact so when shoot on birds it will go right through leaving the birds to fly quite a distance before they die so you will be leaving a lot of birds behind you . i also like to use on decoys no 7 32g with a felt wad for the first shot if the birds are coming in to the 25 yard range they make quite a kill and the other 2 shots are then 5 32g . that is the best i have found so far how to work for pigeons.
  21. if you are bluing the gun sounds reasonable for the sight bead i would have done a truglo sight it is fantastic piece of kit and is screw on most of my guns i have changed to truglo sights and you have 4 diffrent optics to change colour from and they are wonderful early in the morn i favour mostly the amber one .
  22. hi iam looking for a winchester s/s 12g mod 23 pigeon grade trigger guard on an english stock can any one help cheers.......
  23. aya by far the best of the 3 although probably the most expensive but most reliable of the lot
  24. i have got my teague chokes direct from them nigel and jon are fantastic people and very helpful i will never have a gun without them there patterns are fantastic . just got a new benelli with crio chokes waiting for there production for nothing beats teague chokes
