  1. Hold your nose?? I havent got neoprene wellies but i do have neoprene wetsuit boots and ive found that the smell is pretty much impossible to get rid of once they have been wet a few times.
  2. I made your post a bit easier to understand
  3. Are you sure they were batteries underneath not the magnets to hold it to the rib. These sights are usually just an optial fibre which appears to 'light up' as it channels light into one beam. Examples are easyhit sights and truglow sights HERE.
  4. Further down the article it says it is going to court. Why on full pay is the question I would be asking.
  5. Stubby has already given you a good reason

    One for the techies

No idea about others but my laptop has onboard intel GMA 950 graphics and i am able to run an 'extended desktop' by connecting my one vga out to another monitor. That allows you to drag windows between the two screens so each screen dispalys different information.
  7. Exactly what bigt says. Ring them up and say your leaving because their renewal price is higher than that for new members and I can almost guarantee they will drop it.

    Age of gun

I think this is usually found on the barrels under the fore-end with the letters in a box. (at least it is on mine)
  9. +1 for the lansky system. Gives a great edge and is far easier than using a stone freehand.

    vest

I have a seeland danehill vest which i think good. It has decent cartridge pockets on each side (each with an outer pocket for scorecard etc), a loop for your glasses, a rear pocket for your spent shells (not really necessary for clays but good when shooting quarry) and plenty of inside zip pockets. Most importantly the chest is clear on both sides so gives a good mount for left and right handed shooters.
  11. I'll take the IC. PM sent
  12. Wait for the FEO to call you and make an interview (depending on what constabulary you are with and how many of them are on holiday it could be a while ). If your pretty sure they will accept you then get your cabinet fitted then the FEO will only have to visit once. When you get your interview just make sure to put the kettle on and open the chocolate biscuits, the chap that came to do mine was very friendly and we had a good chat. All being well you should get your certificate a few weeks later.
  13. I think this is the same as the ones you found on ebay but its a little bit cheaper Nor-lyx classic
  14. 15. If your shooting going away birds you want to shoot 1/4 then 1/2 so you will be using the tighter choke when its further away (if you miss with the first shot). To be honest its best not to worry to much, you're more likely to miss if your fiddling with the barrel selector.
  16. Its still way out (4:10) ITV lab 144 con 174 lib 24 others 25 BBC lab 125 con 161 lib 24 others 25
  17. New application with medical report 9 weeks Avon & Somerset
  18. If your thinking of putting signs up try putting it on council headed paper (photocopy from the planning application letters which they put on lamp posts). Then laminate it and cable tie it to the gates. It adds a bit more authority! This was tried by someone i know and worked very well.
  19. Well done mate they look great. Ive hatched lots of chicken but only hatched ducks once and can say they were much more hassle but definitely worth it!
  20. The terminal velocity in slowest speed that the bullet could hit the ground. If you ignore air resistance you can take the vertical and horizontal movements of the bullets trajectory separately. In the bullets vertical movement it will be decelerated at a constant 9.8m/s^2 due to gravity until its peak (where its vertical velocity is zero) and will then accelerate downwards until terminal velocity. In the bullet's horizontal movement the only force acting against it is air resistance (which as a bullet is designed to be aerodynamic is very low so can be ignored for the purposes of this example). Therefore the bullets horizontal velocity will remain constant until it hits the ground due to its vertical movement. The velocity of the bullet when it hits the ground will be sqr((terminal velocity)^2 + (horizontal velocity)^2). It can therefore be seen that a bullet will only ever hit the ground at terminal velocity it it is fired directly upwards perpendicular to horizontal ground. As the angle from the ground decreases the final velocity of the bullet will increase. I think its safe to say: Don't shoot without a backstop
  21. Thankyou and it was £29.95 from Greenman Bushcraft
  22. I've been meaning to try knifemaking for a long time so after looking at all the different blade and handle combinations i decided a kit was most appropriate for my first attempt. The blade is 10cm long and carbon steel and the handle is reindeer antler and curly birch. I have also made a scandi style sheath however this is still "work in progress" at the moment. I am quite chuffed with my first attempt so thought id share it. Alex
