  1. A new Farage led party would attract a good number of votes I reckon, compared to what's on offer now. Would certainly jolt the current incumbents and opposition into action.
  2. He is being plotted against from within his own party now, and the TV channels and papers have been after him for months.
  3. I've worn my Lavenir Wearite shooting/beating jacket and leggings on many wet days, neither have let me down. Good value as well.......jacket around £90, leggings £26. @ Moonraker Knives.
  4. Most broader winged birds of prey use thermals to save energy when hunting, by riding the air current, they can gain height and travel further without expending much energy, this allows them a much greater scope to pick out prey before they strike......Narrow winged Birds of prey like the Falcons, usually only use the thermals to gain height before striking, although the Kestrel faces into the breeze to maintain its hover. If you watch a Sparrowhawk in normal flight, it has a " Flap, Flap, Glide" movement, which again conserves energy,
  5. Last nights Question time was typical of the last few years of the show, a weak Tory representative up against three Tory bashers, was the same ratio when a Brexit rep was on the show, back in the day, usually 3/1 against on the panel. The audience seem to be about the same ratio as the panel............and agree, the tory rep was constantly talked over by the panel, and Fiona Bruce.

    T20 Semi

I thought Australia were going to fall short there, but that 19th over going for 22 runs was amazing............good improvised batting from Matthew Wade with 18 off the last 3 balls,

We needed another 20 runs when we batted, Fair play to NZ, best team on the day won, two overs at the death killed it for England, 23 off one and 20 off another, hope NZ go on to win it.

Shame to lose Jason Roy to injury, although we have good replacements. Hoping for a high scoring game, and an England win.
  9. Do you think the businesses Owen Patterson lobbied for, will continue to pay him now he is no longer an MP ?
  10. A Snow Bunting yesterday at Prestbury, Cheltenham.
  11. A Ring Ouzel on Cleeve hill yesterday, and another at Tewkesbury.
  12. Could they have been Brambling ?
  13. Bri, as I call him, serviced my cars for years (cash in hand), he lives half a mile from me, and is a true gentleman, and an excellent and reliable motor mechanic. I will pass on the messages from PW when I see him next.
  14. First Bewick Swan of the winter, arrived at WWT Slimbridge, on Saturday 30th October'21.
  15. First Redwing of the Autumn reported in Gloucestershire yesterday.
  16. I also shoot far less times now that I did say ten to fifteen years ago, I have not shot driven game for probably seven years, after being a syndicate member for a long time, our shooting land changed hands, and the syndicate folded, and I also used to go pigeon shooting on a weekly basis. I now only shoot occasionally, but take great pleasure in being a helping hand on the shoot my son is the gamekeeper on, I have plenty of opportunities to shoot, but my enthusiasm has definitely waned.
  17. Josh Navidi, Hamish Watson and Sam Simmonds are the back row options, with Tadhg Beirne as you said.
  18. How many changes do you think he will make........not many, I reckon, Hogg, van de merwe and Vunipola out, ( if Wyn Jones is fit ), with Liam Williams and Josh Adams in
  19. Poor from the Lions this week, a one off game next weekend to decide the series. The Lions looked tired this week, back three had no ball, and replacements made little difference, and did not score a point in the second half, a couple of iffy refereeing decisions as well. Advantage SA next week I feel.
  20. Yeah he is certainly a raw talent, by the next lions tour of Australia in 2025, he will be a shoe in, if he carries on learning. Would love to see him get a test cap on this tour, but we will have to wait and see, if SA win this 2nd test, LRZ will probably not feature in the 3rd, but a lions win for a series victory, will open up opportunities for the wider squad.
  21. And Gloucester RFC player Chris Harris replaces him, another name to add to the Honours board at Kingsholm. Hopefully Louis Rees-Zammit may get a look in at the third test, as another GRFC product.
  22. Win the first Two, then play all the players who have not appeared in the first two tests in the last......then they all receive test cap appearances for the series, and not just mid -week caps. this would not be a bad team from the uncapped players. 1 Zander Fagerson, 2 Jamie George, 3 Kyle Sinckler 4 Ian Henderson( capt), 5 Johnny Hill. 6 Josh Navidi, 7 Talaupe Faletau 8 Sam Simmonds, 9 Gareth Davies, 10 Marcus Smith, 11 Josh Adams, 12 Bundee Aki, 13 Chris Harris,14 Louis Rees-Zammit, 15 Liam Williams.
  23. Yeah, a game of two halves for sure, and possible rub of the green as well, but the result was what mattered, one or two changes to the Lions for next week?, who knows.......in Gatland we trust.
  24. South Africa 17-22 British and Irish Lions. A great result, in the first of the three test series, Alun Wyn Jones, Maro Itoje, and Courtney Lawes were outstanding.
  25. Western Sandpiper recorded today at Cley Marshes in Norfolk, a north American wader, this is the first ever sighting in Norfolk, and only the eighth recording in the UK. see Cley Marshes: Western Sandpiper at Norfolk Wildlife Trust....BBC for details.
