    squirrel control

That’s the problem. It’s not for them to define reasonable. They may well disagree with your assessment in which case you go to court. I guarantee it would be thrown out or withdrawn as 99% of the fixed penalties are. The police are just using bully boy tactics to try to enforce things. Nobody is going to lose their tickets.
  2. Traffic congestion is horrendous and we have to do something to reduce it. There are plenty of 2-3 Lane non motorways that don’t have hard shoulders yet nobody moans about them.
  3. To give him the benefit of doubt I won’t accuse him of being dishonest but yes he has completely lost the plot as have a few in Government at the moment.
  4. I let out a ‘whoop whoop’ when I heard this yesterday. I would be interested to know what the lockdown fans on PW think of his comments and when they think we should be exiting lockdown’ I loved the bit when he said “well you don’t seem too keen to exit”
  5. It would be a better place with me running it but I would want a LOT more money for doing so.
  6. “Free of it”. What does that mean? Globally we will never be free of it and new variants will continue to pop up. So I am assuming that you think we should keep our borders closed for ever.
  7. If they had then when should they have opened the borders again? Just asking.
  8. Because it panders to the media, the scientists and the Facebook Karen’s who want it. Doing anything different is unpopular and this Government want to be popular.
  9. The only reason other countries of similar size/profile have had fewer deaths is that they are not testing as many people. If you don’t test for covid then you wont die of covid. Take Japan - 57,000 tests per million of population, UK 1.1mln tests per million of population.
  10. It’s just shows how muddled this government is in its thinking and planning around this virus. Flatten the curve - tick Protect the NHS - tick Oh what fear stories can we come up with next to justify the lockdown - Variants that’s the one!
  11. I crossed paths with Farage years ago when we worked for the same company. I always thought he was shady and dodgy then. Mind you he probably thought the same about me.

    How's the snow

Been snowing continually for about 12 hours but still doesn’t seem more than a dusting on the ground. Cold though. Can’t seem to warm the house up.

    Six Nations 2021

Each to their own. It was close, could have gone either way, competitive, fairly open play, quite flowing, well ref’d. All adds up to a good game in my books.

    Six Nations 2021

That was a great game. I thought Ireland were going to pinch it in the end.
  15. Bess is still learning as well and doing so in the spotlight. He is only 23.
  16. I thought leach was unlucky. He didn’t bowl as bad as his figures suggest. My son is a left arm spinner and sometimes he can bowl dross and get 3-4 wickets and other times is on on the money but gets spanked.
  17. England doing well this morning. I thought Pant was going to get a very big score but hit out once too often.

    Six Nations 2021

Another thing I couldn’t understand was why England didn’t contest the Scotland line out. Itoje is one is one of the most aggressive jumpers playing today but was happy to just let Scotland win the ball and then try to defend the maul, inevitably giving away a penalty.

    Six Nations 2021

I noticed that 7 of the England team didn’t kneel for BLM as did all but two of the Scotland team. Each to their own if they want to kneel but glad that it isn’t mandated as it appears to be with Soccer.

    Six Nations 2021

That was dire. Mind you some of the refs decisions were poor. Pinging Genge for a 'no arms' tackle when he clearly had his arms up and attempting to wrap the legs!
  21. I know doctors and nurses are quoted as saying that patients are younger but the ONS stats don’t show that. Last year and this the over 55's represent 75% (range 73-78%) of admissions. And that is consistent month on month.

    America

So you think adding Labour, Lib Dem’s, Greens and SNP to the mix adds any value? Classic. All you would have would be less chirping from the sidelines which is no more of an irritation.
  23. Not necessarily days but weeks. Some of the deaths reported in a day ‘happened’ back as far as November. but the main reason for people still dying is the fact that they would have died anyway - old age or serious illness.
  24. That’s £4K for three nights B&B. So for 14 nights (not that you would stay 14 nights there) that’s £18K. Plus food, travel etc. Sorry but don’t tell me that represents good value.
