Just under 2 weeks in Manchester for my variation beats 9 months my dad has waited with west Yorkshire...

I tell my mrs 90% of what I buy as it is a joint account..,but when she goes shopping she will spend hundreds at a time on clothes shoes bags ect...so a few quid here and there on my hobby is acceptable Plus she is a anatomical scientist so she knows her way round a body with a scalpel so if I tell her lies I might loose something lol...

On this farm we leave them out for the farmer to deal with...he has asked us to do that...but normaly they get put in the undergrowth to rot down

they might only make a small amount on the rifle, but then there is the new scope,mounts,mod,sling,gun bag plus a few boxes of ammo and a bipod..and the few boxes of ammo every couple of months, so you would think they would try to help me as best as they could.. ive got to do a 4 hour round trip on friday to get the rifle but the gunsmith will be more than happy when i buy all that i need..

couldnt belive this... i want a new 204 rifle so phoned aroud 3 shops in my area this is the respone.. shop 1, whats a 204 "ive never heard of them".... shop 2, im too busy to find a price,ring back in a few days.. shop 3,took my details and never phoned me back.. i thort people would be scrambling to sell rifles in this currant climate, luckly ive found a shop that has orderd me one in and i will have it by friday.. rant over. :yp:

im quite lucky as i get a bonus put pay a shed load in tax...

had a howa 243 and loved it but too much poke for my permissions.. since got a browning x-bolt 223, and a remington 22/250, but just orderd a howa 204 that i pick up next thursday...(ive had to loose the 22/250 to get it tho) realy nice stocks and the action is just rite for me, i only shoot foxes so scrambling round and climbing up on bales and over fences you dont wory about the howa as it has a nice rubber stock.. plus straigt from the box they are really accurate...camokid on this forum has one in 223 and he loves it.

Best round I've ever used. Very little recoil and like you say bad medicine....wanting to try a 204 tho I've heard good things about them..,

i was in paris 3 months ago on a course but never managed that...i need to have a word with my boss...

Decided after a few days off from work i would give russ a call and get at the foxes again.. after deciding on whos area to head out on we decided to go back to some fields that we shot a fox on last week,so on arrival we climbed up onto a stack of silage bales and got into a good position, russ switched on the call and on the first sweep of the lamp a pair of eyes about 250 yards out..the fox was interested but wouldnt come in any further so after 10 mins of it hanging round it walked off into some rough ground...being keen as we are we decided to try get another angle on it as we new roughly were it would be..so after 15 mins of stalking round the edge of the field russ put the sticks out fliked the lamp on and sure enough there it was some 90 yards away grooming itself...being russ is taller than me i swapped the rifle for the lamp and gave russ the shot as he would be able to see abit more of the fox than me..(plus hes a better shot apparently )... i flicked the lamp on and off the sticks russ managed to put the 223 round down the foxes throat, and produced a big dog fox.. thats me at the bottom needing 2 hands to hold him up

Same on my permissions People with no idea taking pot shots at stupid ranges..

I've got a ATEC on both my 223 and 22/250 and would get one for a 204..
