  2. Morning guys i am now the proud owner of a fully restored 22 hornet brno fox.. im am wanting to learn to reload for it but there is only so many books to read..in short does anybody within a reasonable distance to manchester who owns a hornet and reloads have a couple of hours to spare to show me the ropes?? you cant beat hands on experiance..and i cant ask youtube questions.. just to run thru the basics...what i will need to buy things like that.. will supply a couple of bottles of your choice for your time.. Thanks for any replies. rich.
  3. great shots... those germans dont look too happy lol.. my grandad was a pilot who dropped troops over normandy dureing the opperation market garden...my dad has loads off bits and bobs from that time period..nazi daggers, empty rounds...ect. JR1960 is rite it could have been yesterday..
  4. I had a howa and it was doing 1inch groups on sako 100grain factory rounds...currently waiting on a blaser .243 that I'm told should be with me by Friday..il be back on the sako rounds with that again I hope..
  5. Have you ever owned one?? It does have the set trigger and walnut stock...I've got bits of it back like the action and bolt and 2 spare mags...should all be put back together by Wednesday...
  6. I'm gonna say a 22 hornet as a small fox rifle...I've got a 17hmr and a 22wmr but managed to find a 1987 Brno fox rifle that had fired 1 shot then been put into storage. So it's currently with uk gun works being re-blued,the stock is away with stright shooter from the forum...and the barrel is away being re polished so as to it's performance I can't speak about yet but from what I have read about it looks the business....it will have a custom dm80 mod on it as well...will post some pics on its return...
  7. Hope your proud of that les...I wouldn't be.
  8. With you on that al4x....no way sporting,I'm having trouble with dog men at the moment..
  9. i have a 223 and a 22/250 if im out on the hill farms i use the 22/250 but if im down in the vally bottoms i will just use the 223....as i will need a rifle with a little more poke on the hill farms for the longer shots..
  10. Same here ive shot one this year that was about to drop...not very nice, the worst for me was when i was about 17 shot a hare that was also about to drop..the fact i can still remember that 15 years later must mean somthing as well... rich.
  11. I normally use the Parker hale gun oil but never really looked at anything else The Napier gear looks good tho and as I'm nearly out of the Parker hale I may grab some Napier stuff.. Rich

  16. pete ive got a WMR and on friday i will also own a 22 K Hornet... one day next week we can go to the quarry and have a shot with the lot and you can see for yourself...CZ WMR sak mod, ideal for foxes..shot about 5 with mine over the last 5 months.. Rich.

  18. You should see the amount of foxes that hang round my house...I see them nearly everyday on my close...they are on my lawn every night...totally brave and let you get to within 10 feet..but it's out of the question to shoot them thinking of trapping them tho in my back garden..
  19. fantastic looking dog...happy birthday pippa
  20. foxes, crows, general vermin are left out of sight...anything else is eaten or goes to the butchers.. nothing that can be used is left...if i cant use it i wont shoot it.. im lucky in a way as the farmer lets me keep the vermin down and doesnt want everything shot apart from foxes..
  21. Bad situation to be in really...if you struck him first you could get in trouble, you did the rite thing in not retaliating..take photoes of your car and any injurys i would go down the route of the small claims court on line..bit wait to see what the CPS say... all the best rich.
