managed to load it up

hi was out lamping not too long back after finding nothing the whole night i started to walk back to the farm bumped into this nice vixen on the way thru the last field...50 yards out with my 22/250 and a 55grain sako sorry picture wont load up.

al4x its a standard widcat mod for a .243 i just had the rear bush reamed out buy 0.5 of a mm to give it a fraction of clearance from a standard howa1500

1 vixen last night 22/250, 55grn sako lamped to about 60 meters TOTAL 479

yes its over the barrel type.. its a standard 243 bush on the rear but they can be changed or reamed out a little to fit most calibers...this has had 0.5 mil reamed of the rear to just miss the barrel of my howa 243 as the mod shouldnt touch the barrel...(or so im told).

i find i need a sunshade for glare off my wildcat mod when out foxing...but i think i need to play about with the lamp fixing....

depends what you expect to find...i would normally take the .22 rimfire with me for this kind of task on my uncles farm..

i agree with al4x it will be the mounts..i would also just check the crowning of the barrel for any damage.. rich.

£40 a box??? thats a bit pricey... :o
