£5 for the 9mm, just what my 6 year old needs for a starter gun. Better than putting it in the bin!! PJ Derby

Browning silver-Semi, Express super game 6's and 3/4 choke Great on a windy day and god bless that 3rd shot!!! -
It makes you wonder how people can justify £200+ for a rotor!! Maybe a bit of competition is what the market needs!! Pigeon shooting should remain affordable and not be allowed to become a sport for the upper classes!!

This year I asked the farmer to put out some straw bails in the middle of a bare patch of rape. He did without any problems. the moral of this story is your doing him a big favour and he will support you IF YOU ASK!! ps This worked very well as it also turned out to be on a flight line (MORE LUCK THAN JUDGEMENT!!!)

I agree with Pete, Spend some time building a natural one, and suppliment it with some netting especially in winter. Iv'e got some advantage timber and its the bee's knees. Buy your self a folding saw, mine was only £6.99, if you want one let me know and I'll let you have the details. Good Luck!!

My mate had a pucker magnet, light weight and all that but £225 your having a laugh!! Just bought one for £120, it came with everything and works like a treat. Yesterday was as windy as it gets and it didn't move an inch and the battery was still going strong after 5 hours!! If you want to know where I got it drop me an e-mail!!

I have recently aquired some more shooting and there seems to be a lot of bunny digging but have not seen any to shoot. What is the best time for shooting bunnies and what are the best tactics?

I still swear by real ones but it can sometimes take a while to get the first couple of the day that why I decided to get a couple.

Recently bought a Browning Silver S/A for £365. excellent for in the field and means the SO4 doesn't get thrown around a hedge bottom. The silver has a quick load system, you just feed the carts straight in to the mag and it puts one straight into the chamber. quick and easy!!! is this common with all autos?

IS SHOOTING PIGEONS ON YOUR BIRD TABLE LEGAL!! TRY TAKING ONE DOWN TO THE FARM!! I THINK I'LL STICK TO THE MAGNET

I HAVE FOUND THAT A SEMI AUTOMATIC SHOT GUN WITH 3/4-FULL CHOKE WITH A 1 1/8 OZ OF SIZE 4/5 SHOT DOES THE TRICK UPTO 25-30YDS AND YOU GET 3 SHOTS IN FAST SUCCESSION IF REQUIRED. I PERSONNALLY WOULD NOT SUGGEST USING .22 RIMFIRE ON FOX, .223 CENTRE PREF. EXPANDING AMMO WOULD BE MINIMUM. GOOD LUCK!!

how much for the magnet and the cartridges seems a shame to sell up, what the reason? A full price listwould be good as you have some good kit.

Iv'e just bought a Browning Silver 3 shot auto from Garlands (Staffs). It cost £365 and shoots very well. Try www.guntrader.co.uk They have lots of choice.

I would like to perfect my dispatch technique for finishing off pigeons when on the rare occasion that there not dead by the time they hit the deck. when I try to ring there necks they tend to come off and gets very messy. Someone please give me some tips!!

I have just bought a Browning Silver 12G Semi Auto from Garlands as a general get dirty in the pigeon hide gun. It shoots really well but i haven't come across one before. It doesn't like anything less than 70mm cases but thats not a problem although if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to offer advise. Still a bit nervous of the semi as i hadn't used one until last week. sixteen years as a O/U Beretta 687 man but I think i may be converted.

I generally find felt wads to be smokier than plastic, it may be that the felt burns more on ignition. while on the subject, i got a batch of express super game 5's by mistake (usually get 6's), best cartridge I've ever used in the field. not so successful on the skeet range

whats a SSSI?

I am thinking of seting up a clay shoot over an old gravel pit, a chance for some real interesting targets. How do I stand with the law? Would it mean no lead? If so I think its a non starter!!! Just think, no bolting rabbits just real springing teal!!! ANY ADVICE

shot 25 pigeons in 2 hours over swathed rape on monday. they seemed to be in a feeding frenzy either that or they were deaf and stupid. seemed to be alot of young birds!! I guess they learn!! (too late for some I'm afraid )
