Thanks for the input. Looks like .22 would probably suit my needs best at around 30 ft lbs.

Thanks for the replies. I think 30 ft lbs would be enough for what I need. I can use reduced velocity rimfire ammo if I'm shooting in a situation where I need more range, say 40-50 ft lbs. problem with these is, they carry too much energy to shoot into trees. I'm looking at safely toppling lofty corvids and squirrels but with more authority that a 12 ft lbs air rifle,where a rimfire couldn't be used. I've used a .25 at 12 ft lbs but I thought they might be more useful than a .22 at FAC levels. Just wondered how the two compared at these power levels. Thanks.

Anybody used .22 and .25 calibres at around 30-40 ft lbs? Just wondered how they compare as I'm considering one for squirrels and corvids . I'm not too bothered about long range, maybe 50 yards.

True, but if they put .22 lr on the ticket instead of .22 rf it would stop any problems. After all, the .22 WMR is a .22 rimfire calibre.

I think they're available in 4, 2 and BB 36 gram

Yes, the velocitors are good. Certainly hit very hard for a .22 and accuracy is as good as you need. Better than stingers in my experience

I've got a slot for .22 rf and same for ammo. Doesn't state if it's short, long, long rifle or Winchester magnum. Must be any of those
