  1. Typical rubbish from people who haven't got a clue what they're talking about. They've just decided that shooting is bad and that's it. It's nothing new.
  2. Yeah,I know. That's why they need to be nudging twelve. I don't think any lower would be much cop and that's why I was asking the question really. I had a supersport .25 when they came out and it was bang on twelve ft lbs with rhinos. It worked well at the ranges I have in mind. I also shot a few rabbits with it. The heavier pellets were useless though at twelve ft lb, I agree.
  3. Ive read reviews on the Internet about people saying that their BSA's have been well under 12 fpe, like 9.5-10 fpe. Anybody on PW found this to be true. I think they're tamper proof now, so you can't tweak em up if you need to. I was thinking about a .25 scorpion for ratting but I won't bother if they're down on power.
  4. Good shooting, well done getting your new permission
  5. Nice one hawk, the mercuries were good. Popular in the 70's I know, but just as useful today. Well done
  6. Good write up. Well done
  7. Good first time out. what model anschutz is it? My 1417 thumbhole is my favourite rimfire. It just points, handles and shoots lovely. I'm sure you'll enjoy it
  8. The rimfire version is also very good.
  9. I would suggest that any .22 rimfire ammunition is quite capable of easily killing rabbits so long as you can assure good accuracy.
  10. Good write up. I like a bit of squirrelling , not shot one for a while though. Got loads last year so I don't know if they've recovered from that. I know they'll be back.
  11. How long we're you in the ditch?
  12. You don't get success like that every day, well done. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
  13. I found them the same. Barely subsonic and not quite as accurate as the eleys. Ok though in my anshutz barrel.
  14. Good shooting. It never stopped raining here.
  15. I used to shoot all kinds of vermin with my .177 back in my salad days. I was a crack shot with that gun because I spent all my spare time shooting it. I thought it was powerful at the time. Later found out it was only just over eight ft lb energy. If you hit rabbits in the right place, they'll drop alright with a .177. I used to aim down their earhole if they were facing away at an angle. Can't remember ever hitting one and just wounding it anyway.
