    beeb news

Just had an item in increased animal attacks with air guns in Sussex and Kent. Double the amount than last year. Had a bird which had been shot out of the sky with an air rifle ??. And the usual suspects calling for a ban. I'm sure there are some sick individuals out there who deserve locking up. But they will do these sort of things no matter what laws are implemented.
  2. Is this due to the mass media coverage of protest, celebrity and political opinion. The left view. Condemn of the government. Not the focus on the people and situation. The London and Manchester events were covered in unfolding facts. Where as the coverage of this has been hijacked and spun. It is not on. And I think people would understand more if the facts and personal side was covered, not just politicians and experts and the need for instant answers.
  3. It's not as bad as your probably thinking. If you are worried you can buy some dehumidifier boxes from the pound shop. Of if you have an electric hook up, you could take a plug in one. But on a nice day with the door open it will be completely dry in a couple of hours. If there's no rain overnight, having the plastic Windows rolled up and vestibule door open also helps.
  4. The media have the platform most ordinary people don't have the luxury of. And social meditis just the chance to show off or join the mass hysteria. As with the European referendum, the election was the silent majority who spoke. Dare you mention anything against the popular (trendy social media view) you were berated. So most said nothing and just voted. But as this wasn't the perceived view There was shock and awe From the social media circles. It will only get worse during the brexit discussion, as people want instant news and demanding to know through the phone media pumped into them. A 2 year negotiation will drive people mad. It's just sad that tragedy drives this debate.
  5. Too true. There was a whole hour on LBC this evening berating MAY and virtually demanding she take the blame. Anything she did or didn't do was wrong and any sense spoken against this view was hastily cut short. The media luvies don't live in the real world and are far from average person in small towns outside of London. And using this Tragic accident as a backdrop to push their political bitterness to the election result is quite sickening.
  6. There is very prevelent undertone towards the left in a lot of the media. On the run up to the election and since not only on the beeb. But channel 4 and a lot of media entertainment types drop in there comments. The main thing now should be sorting the unfortunate people who have had their live ruined by this Accident. And if anyone thinks that anyone wanted this to happen then that I think is a problem in their psychi.
  7. No problem. Hope you enjoy your tent.
  8. Do you mean the vestibule. If so then yes. But we only do it up at night. But I've not been in it in high winds. Don't really need it though. An awning is just as good. Not sure why the answer has doubled ?
  9. A little bit, it's not too bad, worse than a normal tent but not massively. But if your in a sunny spot and you open the doors and vents it soon drys out. We tend to ask to stay a bit longer to allow it to dry out before we pack up. Or we will pack up late on the last day and drive home in the night.
  10. I have the hayling6 and its excellent. I can inflate with the hand pump in 10 mins. Takes longer to peg out than pump up. 1 man put up. Just remember the pack is a bit bigger after the first use, as it won't roll up like it was new. By I can't fault it. Just beware the electric pumps need a pressure cut out as you can't over inflate as they need to be able to expand and contract with change in air temperature. But you won't be disappointed.
  11. Used owners direct (despite the bad press) and had no problems. But they are a middle man. Although through them we had the most fantastic villa with one of the agents they use. And will go direct to them from now on. Paradise properties in Xabia Spain. They provided an excellent service and had some excellent properties to chose from. We stayed on the side of the mountain Montgo 5 minutes from the sea and excellent views.
  12. It was interesting last night, Nicola Sturgeon said it proven that increases in top rated tax payers tax doesn't bring in more revenue, and actually decrease it. Which contradicts Corbin and Labour policy. And I would imagine would cause turmoil in the non collaboration she said she would do last night after saying she wouldn't the other day. U turn ?? Surely not.
  13. I'm just reading your post whilst sipping a Tom Collins, in the hotel bar in Prague. we came Friday ( without as much drama ). Glad you got it sorted, as the stern looking armed police do seem a tad intimidating.
  14. All thé more reason to sign the noise petition. And share on Social media. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/188475 Good ground, sad story.

  16. My mistake it's not on the market anymore, but still a possibility at other locations.
  17. Just out of interest for those of you who shooting at the Essex Masters. This could help in the future, as Hepworth Hall, the house in the grounds is up for sale. It's on rightmove. It's a possibility that someone could buy this who doesn't like shooting and complain about the noise. And possibly impact on the future events at this venue.
  18. Well said. The more that sign the better. And if anyone can share on social media, please do.
  19. Nice one Seadog I think most on this forum could be affected by this in the future.

  21. If you are an active participant in shooting, motor sports, model aircraft flying or any other noisey activities. Please take a moment to sign or share this petition. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/188475 Thanks
  22. It makes you wonder what deal they will make to get wee Jimmy to back Brexit. What do they both dislike they could agree on banning to gain each other's help. I have my doubts about this whole situation. I think Mrs May was the only one through the whole Brexit debate who actually had a plan, possibly nothing to do with Brexit but more to do with taking over. Funny how Borris didn't stand and then all of a sudden is foreign minister. All I can say is watch this space. If Brexit doesn't happen and with the Labour party in tatters Big Nigel could come out of retirement and be in number 10 in a couple of years.
