  1. I think we all have a touch of the meldrew about us. The point i was getting at is that being a small island we are going to occasionaly get in each others way. So we meed to show a bit of compromise towards others, which has been missing in the past. I think people have gotten use to a get what i want when i want world and dont understand it cant always go your way. Like the lady on the beach with her tesco comment. Things are annoying at times and if too frequent or stupid should be delt with, and some people need to take a bit of responsibility for there actions. Fast driving in built up areas is one of these. As for the future with the lack of shopping centres and hundreds of thousands of holiday makers not going away this year it will get worse. The false reality of the internet will drive those people to do outdoor activities which we dont have the space or facilities to cater for them. Then the fun begins. Dont change your name though, you are an oldypigeonpopper, and i hope you have many more years being it. As long as no one complains
  2. Already started, Do you mean the moaning about the noise, or people trying to get some normality back by doing what they enjoy. Im guessing by your name that your hobby is also noisy.
  3. Quite ironic, shooting folk now complaining about noise. With a return to some normality on the horizon, we will realize how noisy the world was. There could be a lot of adjusting to do. There will be alot who want there normal back, whilst getting irritated by others. Its going to get interesting.
  4. I wonder what the governments will do regarding restrictions of liberties. Terms like non-essential journies, and only buying necessities may become more normal. Theres moting like a crisis to gain full control.
  5. As has been said, what if after the lock down it all starts again. And what of the long teem damage to the econamy. All the jobs lost to closures wont just re start. Then if the cirus takes off again people will just be back in the same position but far worse off financialy. This will surely pit more strain on the finances of the services. We may have to ride this one out whilst trying to minimise the risk. Its the fear of the unknown which is driving this panic buying frenzy. After all there are many risks to giing out each day. How many people lose lives on the roads each day, and there is no panic buying of crash helmets.
  6. Maybe some land could be alocated to create a vegan nation, so they can leave the rest of us alone.
  7. The title vegans spain led me to believe it was spain. But the truck looks american ?
  8. Considering its in spain, its funny how the person asking if everyone was ok, spoke English.
  9. Another angle to stop shooting. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/dec/09/scottish-grouse-moors-climate-report
  10. https://www.worldboxingnews.net/2019/12/02/anthony-joshua-sparring-partner-trouble/ Or it could be off.
  11. Looks like it may be off. Joshua might have overdone the sparing.
  12. Would help if you read the previous post before replying.
  13. Everybody could have a photo ID quite easily. Put photos on the national insurance cards and update them every 10 years like driving licences. It would help to stop all sorts of issues for unregistered people. And the automatic issue of the cards already happens at 16.
  14. Another 3 anti articles in the Sun online again today, seems to be a daily thing on the online news. Generally have a scan of the online main media, And there is deffinatly a theme of daily stories some just rerun old articles.
  15. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9677420/legal-gun-numbers-hit-record-high/amp This may be easier to read
  16. More rubbish in the Sun. They seem to have an issue with shooting, bit this is just a silly article. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9677420/legal-gun-numbers-hit-record-high/
  17. I also have fixed chokes, and overcome this with a little time on the pattern plate. Buy a selection of fibre and plastic wad cartridges in different shot sizes, and pattern them at 10 to 15 yards. You will find a considerable pattern difference in cartridges. Eley fibre 8's give over double the pattern size compared to a plastic 7.5 in 3/4 choke. Just change cartridge for closer stuff. Much cheaper and easier than multichoke.
  18. Mount on the target, get line and speed. Then close one eye and rifle the lead you perceive it to be.
  19. Is it mainly right to left and incoming targets. If so then the barrels are coming into view and your other eye is compensating. Either shoot gundown and mount and shoot at the last second, Or more practice is gauge speed and line of target, then close left eye for final sight picture. It's quite a common thing, which tiredness can effect. If this is tricky, then try holding your left thumb alongside and slightly higher than the rib.
  20. If the bores are too open though, they won't be able to fit chokes. There needs to be enough meat to machine. Also £400 is very conservative an estimate, once you factor in the extra chokes your going to be nearer £600 +
  21. strain on services through immigration is mainly due to the influx of people working lower paid jobs. And more people being taken out of the tax bracket. If 300000 people come in, all work, but don't legitematly pay tax, then that's a huge burden on the system that supports them and their familys. The question is if the cost of this outweighs the benefits of filling the low paid jobs. Is there a case for paying higher wages but all pay tax. Or if any tax rises for the nhs then everyone pays some across the board.
