How would I stand? I live next door to one of my permissions and control the pigeons for the farmer. When they go to roost they are then in the tree’s at the bottom of my garden! Would I be covered under the GL for using an air rifle to clear them up as they make a complete mess (health hazard)

I'm not tee total, but I've not had a drink in at least 8 months don't miss it, still got a bottle or two of spirits in the house. I used to run two pubs and got tired of seeing what drink did to certain people. One guy I suggested that he got his boss to pay us direct because he did nothing but drink every night.

Just had a call from my FEO and said could he could call in 2 hours for my FAC interview as he had a cancellation. Major problem No biscuits in the house!! He arrived didn’t want a drink as just had one, so sat and had a chat. Spoke about back stops etc and I said since applying for .22 and .17HMR I had been asked by the farmer to shoot his foxes as well. He looked at me and said he prefers a Centre Fire for that, so I said what do you recommend? He said pop to the local gun shop over the weekend have a chat with them ring him Monday and he will put me down for it!!!! Top Bloke!!!!! Off to the gun shop tomorrow to have a look what I can get. FEO was a real nice guy and said ticket can take up to 3 weeks to come back.

I live not far away from where the Lancaster is based and we get all the old planes flying over most weeks. The roar of the engines as the fly over is amazing a lot better than all the modern planes.

Went out tonight for a 1½ hours on my permission. The farmer has moved the beasts from a field and asked me to have a look around. Parked the 20 yards from the field opened the boot got the air rifle out turned round and sat 30 yards away the first rabbit. Head shot and dropped hardly a twitch Had a good look around and 6 more before returning to the car! Below a picture of 4 shot other 3 I couldn’t get at other side of a river bank.
