  1. Well imo thats just not good enough. shooting/hunting i my hobby, its what i do to wind down and if im going to spend my hard earned money at any shop especially on sum-thing like a rifle/scope i just expect some manners/service. i dont want sucking up, im working class -i want good service. im sure there will be more people on this forum from the north west/wales who will agree about there reputation. iv been there once and will not go again.
  2. Look for my name on the picture section 24 foxes this year! all with home made n.v. i just upgraded now.
  3. It has the worst rfd shop around the north west. Unless you pull up in a merc or bmw and spend £££££ they dont even give you a hello. It is well known around here. They customer service is terrible.
  4. Field sports equipe in rhyl- Christian is an ace bloke. Hes even borrowed me a thermal camera before now to help get a really clever fox. He will always do you a great deal plus its very interesting to see him deal with chavs coming into the shop. you know the type "whats the BIGGEST knife youve got mate."- oh this will be fun.
  5. Pulsar n750 c/w dpinto adapter and yuokon lens, this doubles the mag of the scope. It also have a angle eye dvr and a set of batterys and charger. Only had it a few weeks but cant get on with it. I want £1100 for it. would prefer face to face in the north west area. If you want any more info and vids of it in action please pm me. cheers Please note the ir torch is NOT FOR SALE thats attached to the side of the scope. Here a video at 100 ryds checking zero before going to look for charlie.
  6. How about batterys? are they the same?
  7. I like it, Id have done the same.
  8. where abouts are you? iv just sold my home made nv that i had on a 22-250. but there quite easy to build. If you want any help please ask. if i dont know il put you in touch with someone who will.
  9. i once took a job at a company with a really bad reputation in the way they treated there staff. I was only going to there be a few months until i could start my job i have now (its along story). I was a right pain in the ****. i made the bosses life hell. i tried practically everything to get the sack, all the other lads who worked in the workshop thought i was a bit mentall but the boss was so horrible,i think they really liked what i did to him. But the really crazy part is when i told him i was leaving and i thought he was a bit of tool he told me i could come back if i wanted!!! i couldn't make it up.
  10. I think and if im wrong someone will be along to correct me, its 7x and 14x. the longest fox iv seen with it and checked with range finder is 270 yrds. i missed it because i had a few zero problems to start with but its all sorted now. you could easily see 400/500 yrds with it no bull.
  11. very nice. iv got a n750 at the mo but will be borrowing an archer of a friend to try out. they look a real good unit.
  12. After moving on from my home made n.v iv been using my new n750. its got a dpinto adapter and youkon lens to double the mag. also iv fitted a t20 ir. These mods are essential if you fit this nv scope to a c/f rifle in my opinion anyway. They COMPLETELY change it. This fox was only about 80 yrds away. The scope fitted to rifle with everything on it.
  13. Field sports equipe in rhyl has a few in stock. christian the owner let my mate borrow one and a pulsar 850 ir today to try out. Fair play when you get to know him he always lets you try before you buy.
  14. the only extra width you have is a t20 torch on the pica tiny rail on the side of the scope. i can still shoulder my rifle no problem. The youkon lens adds around 3-4 inches to scope length. my dvr is normally stuck to the side of the stock with some velcro but il only use that when shooting on the back of a mule. I hope this answers your question. the t20 is a very small ir torch.
  15. The 1.7 and 2.5 yukon lenses are the same thing. i got mine of a uk company on ebay this week but remember who sorry.
  16. Right then, iv fitted the dpinto adapter and yukon lens to my n750 and coupled with the T20 i.r torch its turned into the £1200 night vision scope it should be. i cant tell you how good it is. It was not plain sailing though, i had to shim the front of the scope a little bit because the doubler seriously affects the poi. luckily the way the scope attaches to the mounts this is very easy to do and only took a couple of minutes. i now have 7x and 12.5x mag, and a very sharp picture, if i hadn't dropped my dvr and broke the cable i would have put a short video of me shooting rabbits at around 240 yrds. It really is that good. i even won a bet with the farmer! The only thing i need to do Finnish it of is to put something on the rubber mag button to make it a bit more pronounced and easier to find, as i tend to press the wrong button and change the coulor of my ret. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. Will have a video on here shortly i promise. (now where's that soldering iron?) P
  17. iv got the dpinto and some thread-lock coming this week. iv got the yukon lens at home waiting for the adapter. oh i hate waiting. i was going to save a bit longer and buy the drone pro but once an doubler is fitted there not supposed to be much of a difference?? Please let me know how you get on. Part of me says to get the archer as you can use it as a spotter as well, compared to drone there's hardly any price difference. One thing i will do is give a honest opinion of anything i use. Peter
  18. I do both, but one tip iv found is to carry a piece of pipe lagging in the 4x4 and put it on the window to use it as a nice rifle rest. iv not read all the posts so i do apologize if this has been mentioned.
  19. After using a home made night vision system for a few months (which i managed to get 22 foxes with) i wanted to upgrade to a decent nv sysem to go on my 22-250. So after doing as much overtime as i could cope with a saved up my pennies to buy a used starlight archer, but when i went to see the archer the tube was so burnt it was totally***********. The guy would not knock a penny of the £1200 price tag and in my opinion it was worth NOTHING! so i spoke to my rfd and as luck had it he had a n750 brand new for £900 if i wanted it. Its now fitted to my rifle. My first impression of it is that it feels a bit tacky the buttons have cheap looking stickers on them and it quite hard to focus on objects properly because the parallax adjuster is very sensitive, which to make a quick shot on fox a distance quite difficult. The ergonomics of the buttons is shocking! It will take me weeks to figure out where they are. you never seem to press the same button twice. The screen in its standerd setup looks terrible because the standard ir torch has a filter on it which makes the image look very grainy, there is a youtube video that shows you how to remove this in about 2mins, but on a RRP £1200 scope why the hell should you? This could also affect your warranty if you start messing around with it. iv now fitted a t20 ir and the difference it makes is hard to put into words it transforms the scope. Iv also ordered a a doubler kit so i can have upto 12 mag and hopefully it will be a sorted nv scope. I used it friday and Saturday night (3 foxes), the battery's lasted the 2 days i used it. it got bounced around a fair bit in the back of the mule and it didnt loose its zero which i found quite impressive. You can see at least 500 yrds with it, it is really good in someways but very poor in others, my homemade nv which was built with alot of help from a member on here (cheers darren) cost me £300 all in. Would i say the n750 3x better sorry in its standed form i would say NO. But if you spend around £1000 on a n750 and another £50 on a t20 and ANOTHER £190 on a doubler, you then have a very good nv scope that's a bit fiddly to use! But again why should you? Thats about it for me for now. i will let you know how i get on when the doubler is fitted.this is my PERSONAL opinion on the n750, there will probably be people on here who think im talking rubbish, well i really dont care. im being honest. If my spelling or grammer offends i dont care about that either!

  21. Turbos are really easy to change, iv done a few. You can get a an exact model turbo new from most good motor factors for around £600. The last x trail i did had lasted for 90000mls before the turbo gave up.
