Good that Simon The weekend bodes well ! We are out on the corvids - had 155 last time out - and a few about about again on the silage cut

Woods change in decades - would suggest getting the saws out or even the digger if its being used to clear silt in the pond and get the woods opened up a bit (lot)

Im with London Best - thick scrub - in my experience is ok in blocks with nice rides through - some nice sunny spots but 44 acres of it - Im not sure if indeed you do have the right habitat and hence why they are wandering. The best magnet to hold birds that i put in was some small / medium sized ponds - option for you ? Maybe ask BASC to come and give it the once over for you ?

Morning Thats a big shoot ! How many birds do you release ? Maybe try and condense it a bit - to manage over that area i would imagine is hard work

Fair enough Just unusual if great habitat and great predator control and not overshooting for birds to wander somewhere that all this is not available. I take it they have plenty of food and water ? What sort of returns are you talking about for interest please?

Probably only lack of the right habitat that they do one really - or too much pressure from predators or shooting of course
