On the morning of 20th March, I use my HSBC debit card to withdraw some cash from a Royal Bank of Scotland ATM in Cardiff. A few days later, when cheking my account via online banking, I noticed that on the same day, someone has 'used' my card to pay £50 for a Tesco mobile top up. It was also used to pay £17.30 for a Chinese meal in Aberdeen! These amounts were taken within 11 hours of me using the ATM. The bank has said that I will get my money back once they are certain that it's fraud. Although I am the victim here, I am still amazed what has happened and hope to find out how my card was 'cloned'. Anyone else had similar problems?

I cut 4 pieces of 3x2" wood into wedge shapes. I then drilled holes in them, the same diameter as the poles. Just stamp these into the ground and then insert the poles.

dose any one use a Night Vision monocular
steve_b_wales replied to russ91's topic in Guns & Equipment
I use a night vision monucalr simalar to the Lidl one. But I also use a 8" square infrared plate which I, or my mate, holds in front of my 1/2 million candle power lamp. This greatly increases the range and intensity of the monocular. -

Firearms Department response times
steve_b_wales replied to jonno's topic in General Shooting Matters
My 1st application for a firearm certificate (many years ago) with south Wales Constabulary took only five days. Over the years I have had renewals (average 2 weeks) one -for -one variations (about a week) and recently when I asked for a section 1 shotgun to be added to my certificate, it took only 10 days. -
Got mine Saturday too. I was a bit disappointed with it owing to the adverts and articles already been read from their monthly magazines. Some good stuff in there as well, so all in all, it's okay.

Thanks harv, I will check this out soon. cheers
-
No I did'nt know that harv, the gun I am buying has an extension mag on it (I think) Its advertised as a 6 shot, inc one in the chamber. I will look into this though. Thanks Steve

One of the best bits of equipment I bought for crow shooting was an electronic flapper, connected with an intermittent timer. Used with a Primos Power Crow call, I found this set up to be excellent.

I'm with Tiscali. Line rental, all inclusive calls (daytime as well) broadband, and I pay a bit extra to stop ex-directory and with-held calls getting through to my phone. Total £30 month

Just received my firearm certificate back from the police after applying for a section 1 shotgun. It was easier than I expected. I just needed the farmer to sign a letter stating that he had big problems with crows/pigeons on his crops. I also had to state that the gun would be used for CROP PROTECTION. These were the two words that the FEO told me must be included with the application. I have 'put away' a Benelli SuperNova 12 gauge Pump (6 shot) and will be picking it up soon. Can't wait to get on those birds. With six shots available, I should at least hit one!

Looks okay. I bought a 'flocking' kit from a website (can't advertise it on here) It cost about £18 and did 12 crows. Very easy to use. Also there's a kit for pigeons too. PM me if you want the site address.
