  1. Thats strange... I'll drop him a text for you
  2. I'm booked in on the 5th of November. The keeper is a top guy so I am sure it'll be worth it
  3. They are fantastic investment.... if you get the use out of them. We get out in ours a lot over the summer and the in laws do a 4-6 week south of France/Spain/Portugal in the Autumn every year. On going cost wise you have your usual vehicle service costs at approximately £200-300 depending on base van/annual miles etc. If you buy a new one there is no need to worry about MOT for 3 years. Road fund licence depends on base vehicle - think ours is £180/year. You'll need a habitation check/service annually at around £100. Insurance is reasonable depending on all the usual factors... think our is about £350/year. If you need yo store it somewhere budget £500-600/year ... Have you considered a caravan? You often get significantly more for your money providing you have a suitable towing vehicle
  4. I think (not sure) they have Optima (not Optima HP) When the new Silver Pigeon guns came out they all had Optima barrels. The Silver Pigeon Sporter/686E Evo guns made towards the end of 2015 starting coming with Optima HP. I went to look at a new Silver Pigeon 1 (field) last week and it didnt have Optima HP
  5. Still for sale will consider sensible offers

  8. For readily available you can't beat Bulleit.... quite a high rye content so might not be to everyone's taste but very very drinkable. rotex rm8

mine is a .177 but its fine. Put it on chrono with a couple of pellet types and it sits nicely at 11.6
  11. I can't remember the exact number of shots fired/birds killed but there was certainly enough to keep our team of guns entertained all day.
  12. Had a great shoot today and fantastic overall experience I was made to feel very welcome by Tom and his team The hospitality was good and there was an awesome atmosphere all day. The rain kept away until after lunch but didn't dampen our spirits in the afternoon despite getting pretty soaked. Thanks again to Tom and the other guns for a great day. Can't wait to go again in December Klem

    A big day today

Congrats mate. Hope you've all had a great day. Can't even think about my 2 babies getting married
  14. Teague 3/8 flush choke to fit Lanber. In good condition £20 posted
  15. I have them in my 725 no problems at all. Not sure they are worth the extra over other brands but they do look nice
  16. As a Jags fan I'd say book to see the Jags/Bills game. The Jaguars are the "nominal" home UK team and its great see more and more people getting behind them at Wembley. Its definitely worth it for the experience. Get there in plenty of time to look around the tail gate and don't buy cheap tickets.
  17. Posed the same question to our doctor fairly recently. 1st trimester no evidence to suggest there'll be a problem.... but wouldn't advise. Anything after that was a definite no. I'd still suggest seeing what your doctor says though.

    Skiing

Not going this year but usually do Avoriaz/Morzine (snowboarding) Couple of friends did Christmas and New year but the snow was rubbish. Snow still isn't great for most of the French resorts but forecast looks good... fingers crossed for OP
  19. I have a 30" sporter and think it's great. Apparently there is an abundance of spares still but they are well made and, reportedly, rarely go wrong.
  20. I have a 725 sporter and love it. Very well balanced overall. bear in mind though that the sporter has the Marmite palm swell where the hunter doesn't. You could always get some Muller chokes for the Miroku if wanted to save a few g.
  21. Hi Martin If you get one I would really a appreciate having a look at it....It would seem we live quite close I am considering adding one to my cabinet in the near future too.
