  1. been back on the stubble this afternoon, could hear a shotgun going off on some other fields ,guess they were reaping the rewards ,Pigeon every-where, an my best day ever,41,will try an put a picture up tomorrow,
  2. So what next ? different spring an kit,but which way to go?
  3. Forgot to add ,A chair is essential to me,can be a long day so take this into consideration when building your hide (remembering you have to poke the barrel through) and i don`t like the hide higher than the hedge behind
  4. Good questions, First watch, make sure the Pigeon want the particular field, sometimes worth walking across the said field to move them an see if they come back (you have to be out the way of-course) (even if you sat in your motor) Flight line,if you can spot one your on a winner straight away,if it`s not obvious then all is NOT lost. A sittie tree is good either on the edge of the field or in the middle make little difference.Camo netting, i have the green army type (doubled up so as to keep it thicker) bought as it is i dont think it is thick enough,(could use two bits), you need it comfortable enough to see without massive gaps. And to be able to poke the gun through. (oh while i am on about the gun ,you can rest the gun stock/aircylinder on the netting, but not the barrel or silencer, that alters poi) I use hide poles, just cus it`s easy an maybe a couple of bungee straps (handy for support off the hedge or tree),if under a tree an in good shadow then no roof needed but if on the edge of a field an they are coming from behind i would consider one, One more thing about the hide is i like to add foliage ,whatever is around the field, even if it is a patch of something 20yds away. Now Decoys ,Shells will work ok i have some (sillosock) ones i think there called ,easy to pack an i rate them ,bit of trial an error now for the placement of the deeks, i prefer a tight little group of 3 or 4 ,twenty yds or so out (yesterday i had 3 feeders an one sentry out, nothing came in) (flaring off) so removed sentry an then birds coming in, Weird ,Camo clothing, I always were it long sleeve T-shirt, light weight trousers thin light face mask an light gloves ,but sometimes you can get away with out some of these (thick hide an red hot day an i would be tempted ) Well give it a try an report back, lol. good luck. O forgot when you get some pigeon swap them for the deeks an if there still the right way up leave them .
  5. I tend to leave mine ,with whatever is still in the gun ,when i get home.
  6. Thank-You sir,just been out on the Stubble ,4 hours,for 14,
  7. The rape has been cut today on all my perm had a few Pigeon this afternoon on the Stubble, 14, Airgun.
  8. This morning to the HW100, i tell you,"it is a lazer" , This was on Grass shared with sheep (if that makes a difference ? ) but around mid-day it went very quite, so left the field,as i left i looked at a Stubble field an it seems the pigeon had changed their diet for the day. Needless to say this particular stubble field is not part of my perm.
  9. I have just fitted a Titan spring to a Webley Omega (see Omega thread) apparently the one listed for the said gun,Number 8 if i remember correctly (again from chambers) I took 4 coils off before i even tried to fit the spring, after fitting i then chrnoy the gun.Had to take more coils off.as a side note the gun/spring impressed me .smooth as you like.
  10. just put a new spring in a Webley Omega,ok a little fiddly as you have to take all the trigger out.(sorry should of said ,not my gun) But what an impressive little springer it is , an that is high praise from a devoted PCP user.
  11. opps, was going to say try Photoshop
  12. as said easy to strip, an have a good look to see if it is clean (i.e. no ally shavings from dirty pellets) i have seen this an i also think the shavings can clip a pellet (air turbulence)
  13. you dont say. .................only messing ditchman, did make me smile though
  14. Oh this is going to be good,
  15. Yep ,done a lot of things like the bow one (up in the air) an yes they do disappear,( wonder how high it has to go to disappear) but the lad shooting it only did it the once as far as i know, i don`t think he enjoyed pulling it out of his shoulder (good job he was wearing a donkey jacket) ,then there was the time my mate found a .303 bullet in his cellar ,This ended up on a bonfire we built (up the lane) christ when that went off, one of the ends went flying through the trees .Yes, lucky to be alive An then there was the mundane stuff ,like chicken on old motorbikes, ect, ect.
  16. Had a bit of a go today, set the decoys out an within two minutes a pigeon dropped right in the middle of the deeks, the rest of the day was a little slow, but like every-one else, with the same problem, the pigeon only have to move a couple fields away ,too much food around at the moment, so in fairness the jury is still out, but to say i was impressed would be an understatement.
  17. Many thanks for the reply, and will do
  18. Um, i bought the whole decoy,s So can i just take the sock off an put it on a shell, or wouldn`t that work ? but to be fair they have only just arrived so haven`t given them a go, might be an idea to give them a go first ,you think, lol.
  19. Talking of it`s more expensive sibling, the 100 i hazard a guess at. A very few problems i would think, considering the amount sold, I can`t think of any other gun so well made, (that i have had) This guy rates it,
  20. Hope your right, just ordered a few.
