  1. Actually got one but its fixed, drat🙄
  2. Out twice yesterday, first time in the morning just to check two flip tops, both empty of peanuts, so topped up ready for a ambush next time. Secondly was out just after lunchtime and instead of sitting in my hide sat in the car as I can cover the flip top and pheasant feeders, and its warmer! frost was still on the ground and very cold but the sun was out. Very quiet and took an hour before even pigeons started to come in to the pheasant feeders, finally saw a squirrel in the trees, it actually went up the trunk where the feeder was......and kept going, never even sniffed it, followed it through the trees but never got a chance of a shot. There are a lot of feeders at this location next to the pheasant compound and the one 50 yards away was getting plenty of attention from all sorts of wildlife including a grey, I watched it for half a hour coming and going. A movement in the compound caught my eye and there 20 yards in front of me sat a grey on a feeder......only trouble was there was a chainlink fence and my windscreen in the way, anyway it started off up a tree and over the fence, down a tree and was sat infront of the car five yards away, it came even closer and I thought it was gonna cock his leg over the tyre for a pee! he just had a sniff then ambled off, the windscreen in the way all the time, oh why wasn't I in the hide, I know because I wouldn't be able to feel the gun by now🥶. No happy ending for one squirrel though as just before dark a grey jumped up on to the box for a peanut and ate a jsb.
  3. Always good to read about your hunts and see the pictures. Keep it up and stay safe.
  4. AZ first two jabs and no problem. Moderna booster on monday afternoon has knocked me back, like having flu, feeling slightly better this morning after a better sleep.
  5. No way will the FIA change the result. Lewis and Mecedes was cheated. Michael Massi will be made the scapegoat. Safety car proceedure needs to be changed, simples, how can you bulid up a lead for it to be taken away by another drivers fault..........As an ex racer, I would be very very pi**ed off with that.
  6. I can see a small bit, right hand bottom corner, is it oak?🤣
  7. Shud have known better than get my hopes up for a decent score, but hey at least it wasn't an innings defeat🤣
  8. If your going to Carlisle A&E.......good luck!
  9. One very flighty one from under a pheasant feeder, it had already been on the peanut feeder but I never got a chance,it was in for a peanut and then off.
  10. Same old story, but without Broad and Anderson, what!! win the toss and bat, what!!. Oh Glen McGrath 5-0 your right!!
  11. Hey thats great, well done, bet you didn't know what she was gonna say.🤬
  12. Lets hope it doesn't go well for Australia and they get the sandpaper out, send litigious texts and all get banned, then perhaps England will stand a chance🙄
  13. Did go out with the air rifle and sat in the drizzle for a while until I came up with a cunning plan, I sat in the car covering one of the flip tops and just before dark a customer called, so not a wasted afternoon.
  14. Just got a text from an old permission with the news they have two greys digging their lawn up,please come and get rid....on my way.
  15. After a week laid up with a bad cold, I went out to the sydicate wood today to check and top up the feeders. Well what a sight, I heard on the news there was a few trees down due to the storm we had and this wood had not escaped, plenty down and big un's, all laying the opposite way to the prevailing wind, its something I noticed when the wind was blowing that it was coming from 180 degrees from normal, wonder its thats why there was so much damage. The wheat feeder was empty and the dregs in the bottom were soaked so cleaned it out and topped it up, the flip top peanut feeder further on in the wood was also empty. Whilst doing this I disturbed a squirrel from a pheasant feeder so watched it run off, sadly no gun today, decided to follow it which led to another pheasant feeder where there was another grey helping its self, back soon I think.
  16. Got off lightly, only two fence panels smashed.
  17. This is my interpretation, even if you have been jabbed, it does not stop you getting it or transmitting it. To force a populace getting jabbed is not right, fair enough if jabbed you may not suffer covid as bad and save a hospital visit.
  18. Was out yesterday but could only do the afternoon as I was busy in the morning. Got there at 12.30 and got settled in and it struck me how quiet it was, so quiet that I thought the falling leaves were squirrles moving about. Nothing at all moving about, even the song birds at the feeder were sporadic, it wasn't until a jet fighter screamed overhead and set the pheasants off that I knew I wasn't on my own! It took an hour and a half before I spotted a squirrel swinging through the trees, it was only five yards from the feeder and completely ignored it and was off, never got a chance for a shot, in the next two hours not really much happened so I had had enough and got out of my hide and started to walk towards the feeder only to spook a grey in the tree tops, the same one? possibly, doesn't it know how good wheat tastes!
  19. Lovely looking woodland Mice. Just nice being out in countryside like that, better when its dry though but super views. Topped my feeders up today, peanut ones empty and the wheat one rather wet and soggy!!
