  1. Now then mr JDog! Great write up by the way! Haha! Tis true I was galavanting up in the north of gods own country and agaman has worked hard to get me a day on the stubble with him,but it wasn't to be! But I'm glad you were able too as I would not have done the day justice,or delivered such a cracking write up as yourself, painting a picture with words!
  2. We prefer East Yorkshire if you would be so kind!
  3. Aww it's no good then! I'm after a bucket with just a few! ; )
  4. I shot my single shot baikal hushpower on tues night, sat under a tree on rape stubble, it accounted for 6 in 2 hrs but like Motty said plenty of opertunity for doubles missed! Bloody awkward to shoot but strangly satisfying when you hit one!
  5. Hiya Jega! They use a plug in counter that you take round with you,and every trap has the option of instant release or delayed if your on your own, not sure about cost of 25 but on a tues/thurs late opening days it was £22 per 100, I think it's a price per clay that gets cheaper the more you shoot, no need to book just turn up, not open on a Monday!
  6. It's my local! It is a great set up and Tony Brown the manager is a good bloke!
  7. Did they still decoy in for you? I take it they flared away
  8. Great stuff gents! Love the PC style pic!
  9. I use them! I started out using them I tried using 30g 6's but I've gone back to 7.5 28g I'm on lyvale English sporter at the mo as they were £142.00 a thou in fibre! That said I do like hull's superfast 29g 6's I'll be getting some for walked up partridge next month!
  10. Are they fortune condoms? Maybe there is a pearl of wisdom written down the side!
  11. There's a few in east yorks but it's collared doves that seem to have spiked round here!
  12. Well said that man! I'm not in the market for new decoys and I'm happy using what I've got. As I've mentioned in another post on these decoys most pigeon shooters prefer real birds to decoy with, these decoys are as close as you will see to that, I totally accept that if the pigeons want to be there they'll decoy to a Bit of old pipe! But for decoyers without 1000's of acres of land to go at, (me included) when you set up with none or very few pigeons about these decoys might be the difference between shooting half a dozen to a dozen! And when 28 is your best day a dozen is a good day!
  13. Cracking bit of shooting mate! Cheers for posting!
  14. BBC news had a vet on this morning saying just what barrels and rimfire said, skin infections due to the folds, spinal problems due to curly tail, he was calling for structured breeding to faze out these inbread problems! Too many amatur breeders trying to make a few quid,Worth looking at BBC I player!
