  4. By box I assume one containing 10 smaller boxes, as 2 small boxes does not last long
  5. Steel is very good, well for barrel making
  6. I totally agree, have not used a 6 for many years. Get best results with 4 and 5 in 32,34 and 36g loads. Have you seen the Fiocchi JK6 38g ? Hang on I can hear all the 28g 7 1/2 brigade tapping away on their keyboards
  7. The Gentleman that won this, would like to sell it ! Please PM for details This is the gun
  8. Any chance of some pictures ?
  9. As amusing that the original post was, I have to say that I visited the Dorset branch a couple of weeks ago and 'wow' a very well stocked and spotlessly clean place it was, the staff were friendly and very helpful and I would say well worth a visit, maybe not ask any cartridge based questions though

  11. Clearly we need to contact The Sportsman, as they obviously know their stuff !!!!!!
  12. Safe if you bury them brass down, but worse than an anti tank mine if buried crimp first
  13. So that's why we have 3" Shells, to get 50g of powder in, so are all shells 28g of shot
  14. Got out this morning, before the snow the farmer said there were lot of pigeons on the rape, the damage looked like the sheep had been on it! Sat for four hours watching hundreds of pigeon go over a wood, across the valley and onto the next farm. They have two gas guns going off about every half hour. The bangs made them get up, fly back towards the wood, then turn around and go back to the fields they just lifted off from. Ended up with 1 Jackdaw and a Rook!!!!!!
  15. Oh! did not make any sense as my last post was the 'nanny knows best' HSE who do not think cartridges are dangerous, but you need a certificate to use a step ladder Beyond the pale
  16. What ever the hell that is meant to mean !
  17. Shotgun ammunition is explosive class 1.4, I think this from the HSE means we are all safe with a pocket full of shells http://www.hse.gov.uk/explosives/licensing/hazard-classification.htm
  18. Maybe there should be a section on here for just this kind of thing, dedicated to good and bad reports. After all this is a 'pigeon' forum!!!!
  19. Clearly you must be talking about A1 Decoys, I have to say that all my dealings with them ( buying bits of kit that is ) over the last two years have been very good, always very helpful and kit has always arrived next day. I do hope that as they are a trade member on here they can come to an outcome that leaves you more satisfied than you are now!
  20. I am guessing he flinched each time they pulled the string
