  1. Forgetting the mod might be a mistake,  have you ever shot it without? My rapid sounds like a cannon.

No harm in rounding the stock, but like washerboy says, aren't they already pretty light?

But then why not, it's your gun, why not look at putting the target/ open sights on it, that would really lighten it up.

  2. I can't imagine B & Q being open without there being 2mtr tape like there is at other shops that are open, add to this everyone in the country has to know about the current situation and keeping their distance.

I saw this the other day and thought it was brilliant.

  3. According to the radio this morning Spain are lifting restrictions with kids allowed outside for the first time in 6 weeks!! Its been like a summer fair on the river near me, never seen so many people out walking enjoying the sunshine.

And apparently Boris is back at Downing street now, with the main question being when will lockdown be lifted?

Everywhere I have been shopping around here people are complying and exchanging 'good mornings' a lot more than normal.

Its all rather nice isn't it,  if you haven't been affected by the virus then the enforced national holiday and good weather, with the slower pace everyone is taking makes a real pleasant change.

I'm off for our daily walk and hope to read it more fully in the garden with a cuppa when we return, have a look and let me know what you think?

No intention of looking,  I imagine it's like Walshie said above,

It did, but I can confirm people in Wales are going by the UK Government rules, not the Welsh one who make up new rules to appear different and relevant.

I'd be very very surprised if the Scottish "Gov " did anything before the UK.

You may spout rubbish about wealthy owners but the truth is the people who look after dementia sufferers and the terminally ill are looked down upon and always have been.

I know what your saying, but it's not what I'm thinking.

The hospice staff who looked after my mum where fantastic, the carers are doing a job I couldn't do.

But the owners aren't working on the front line, yes the staff need the PPE absolutely, which means it's got to be payed for.

The big price increases need looking at, that's for sure.

    Sounds right.

I didn't catch what was said, certainly sounded odd.

In order for this not to be catastrophic we need to get back to some sense of normality soon. I said all along that the Government won’t relax things until the public demand it. We are beginning to see that happening but still too many people living in fear of the ‘bogie man’ who want the lockdown to stay until it can be guaranteed that there will be no more deaths.

There obviously can't be a guarantee,  I know plenty of people are happy at home getting 80% of pay sat in the sun, once that stops people will want to be back at work, places are starting to look at opening up again.

It's only been 4 or 5 weeks, we aren't being bombed and some things will be different but hopefully things will carry on sooner rather than later.

Trust me, there are plenty of us that wish they would too. HS2 was only conceived to give the rest of England a feeling (illusion) of relevance 😛

I'll never understand it, its taking a few minutes off the journey from say Manchester to London? Who really cares, I'd rather the trains we have ran on time.

It's obviously too early to say but I don't think we'll see the economic armageddon you appear to be baying for. For the kind of reset you seem to advocate to be triggered I would think the very fabric of society would have to be on it's knees and at that point who's paying what taxes and where would be the last thing on anybodies mind.

I don't see all the forecasted doom and gloom, obviously some are going to be out of work, the self employed are being hit hard, but once people are allowed out again they are going to be working again.

No one has yet had to queue for anything in the rain. It sounds trivial, but it won’t be if the weather changes for the worst

I know what you mean, 15 people queuing outside Aldi in the sunshine is no bid deal, had this have happened in February it would have been a whole lot different

Social gatherings are going to happen whether the governments approve or not, and increasingly more so the longer this goes on, and especially if this weather continues.

I have been surprised how the majority have gone along with the lockdown,  our kids being younger aren't really that affected but I'm sure teenagers must be bouncing off the walls, those without good gardens must really be suffering.

I'm white and getting no special treatment.. Is that racist? I totally get what you are saying but I'm tired of the card getting played every time.

We are all tired of it, but it looks good for labour if they make plenty of noise about this.

It's a real shame so many NHS workers have died while fighting this virus, and from what @7daysinaweek has told me part of it could be down to viral loading, if it somehow affects the BAME group more than white folk then what needs looking at is the exposure levels staff are getting not why it is affecting some races more than others ( I'm really trying to not sound racist here)

On the news tonight 37 year old twins have died from covid 19, both working with sick people old and young, did something affect them more genetically, was it viral loading? This really shocked me, for them to die three days apart working separately was truly shocking.

Then it's worth the chuffingness; who cares if it's common? It's not been common to you! And they're lovely birds. They are frequently 'best bird' on my trips. Well, when lockdown allows them...

Certainly was, I spotted my first Osprey last week, just a glimpse but I new what it was. But unfortunately it was hit by a truck on the M6 absolutely gutted, but for the lockdown I'm sure loads of people would have been out looking at it.

ive just had another good google , and im pleased to say that it was definitely a little egret.

this , i thought id spotted something really rare ,  it was still a fantastic sight though.

It stopped me dead, up in a tree perfectly white against the leaves, fantastic bird, makes you wonder how they survive as they must stand out wherever they go.

Could it be that the "ethnic minority" are more inclined to live in extended families? with more people living together than white people.

Far too easy how dare you, watching the ten o'clock news last night and they were showing the 8pm clapping,  went from Bolton to Blackburn there were at least three generations outside one terraced house and maybe 10 or 12 people there.

I don't know if they are living together to look after the older folk or it's a money saving thing but its obviously different to how folk I know live, there might be 4 or 5 in a house.

the list goes on and your 2.6 mill dwindles significantly.

Obviously the 2.6m comes down it has to, but there is still a lot of money being charged and made.

I shall ask some of my Singapore colleagues what it is like now.  Given Singapore is basically just a city I don't know if it would be a good analogue for a full fat country anywhere else, but if you could isolate say London and apply the regime to there I reckon it would probably work very well indeed.

I wish they would isolate London 😊😊

And while their at it scrap HS2.

have always said that our country would grind to a halt without the selfless care staff who go to work day in and day out in these rewarding but challenging environments.

It certainly takes special people to work in these environments now more than ever, not something I could do.

Did you see the old boy in Preston? One of his carers had had his late wifes picture put on a cushion for him, such a sweet moment and reaction.

  19. Trump strikes me as someone who sits in meetings listening to lots of clever people tell him things, doesn't really understand what's being said then goes and speaks to the media, gets everything wrong and just keeps talking.

He should self isolate for 14 days saying he has developed symptoms,  do like the UK has done, put different people on the podium each day, see how things go, let his team take point.

Then if its working keep going with it, step back in when things are improving.

these places charge up to £1000 per week per resident, its up to the owners to pay for it out of all that profit.

    38 minutes ago, Jaymo said:

So there goes your argument of £1000 profit already as they pay your Sister.

I think you've read it wrong Jaymo, let's say the home is charging a grand a week, very expensive but let's say they have 50 residents, £50k a week then!!

That's 2.6 million a year! Obviously there are Bill's and overheads to come off that figure, but I'll bet their making a good profit.
