Did some testing yesterday with H&N 21g  218 slugs pushed them out to 121 yards , just under 1.5 milldot on 6x mag on scope ,  FX crown  .22 , 500 mm barrel , running at 925 FPS  5 slug group

I'm impressed you can shoot that group on 6X mag at that range, never mind the slugs.

Wearing "flip-flops" and not toe tectors

Wearing flip flops to drive should get you the sack.

H&S at most places has gone mad, but the ops problem sounds like poor planning and organising by both his boss and the power station,  as someone else mentioned they should have something in place for quick drop offs, sounds like some jobsworths enjoying making people wait.

Has anyone tried the Hades over a chrograph?

I did today and noticed the odd one going faster that others. The FPS spread was as high as 16fps from slowest to fastest. Tried them at a target and they grouped ok in the wind we have.

The jsb express were quick and seemed accurate enough at 25m.

Bit more testing required, at least I've got a FPS figure now for strelock pro.

Was this on just one rifle? It could be down to the head sizes you mentioned.

started into PCP two years back as an interested Engineer and wanting to pull apart and play, started with the Marauder then Daystate then AA , i fiddle and play, set up and take down, swap glass and put it back again, but  pellet choice is constant in all cal's.

That certainly qualifies as interesting,  and funnily enough I'm a cnc Turner,  small world.

I've also seen blueberries from Israel, which I put back on the shelf. If the Israelis don't want to comply then that's fine, I'll just continue to do my best to avoid anything from there.

I really don't get the whole anti Israeli thing, and I'm quite glad really.

Cheers guys and thanks for the all the comments and suggestions.

Happy to look into the second hand market.

No problems with BSA or Air Arms. Surprised no one is suggesting Weihrauch or any other makes though? Not worth it?

I believe Weihrauch have had some quality issues but its probably just the guys who've replied shoot what they've recommendedd @Longbower shoots a 100 or 110 not sure which.

Even better if we could have a list of agreed professions, doctors, dentists, engineers, software designers or whatever were needed for UK plc and the cost of training for the first xyz thousand was met by the state.

Absolutely,  but NHS more than anything.

. I'm currently reading an autobiography written by someone who worked for the railways in the 19th century and even 150 years ago the railway companies weren't expecting their apprentices to pay for their own training. And by the age of 25 a man was getting on in life,  was on the plus side of the balance sheet, and had enough to settle down and start a family.

Funny enough my nieces boyfriend has just started an apprenticeship with a rail firm, the first year is campus based and accommodation and food is played for, certainly not the norm these days.

And I agree that people going into the NHS should be able to do so without the debt, even if they made it like the military and you have to do X number of years service to negate the training fees.

All this kids going to Uni is to keep the kids off the unemployment queues, indirectly taxing their parents and giving a lot of kids false hope. I will reiterate my earlier statement - THE RIGHT EDUCATION

    Absolutely bang on disco Bob.

And well done, sounds like you've had an interesting time, cant be many folk who have been in the Army and Raf, and nearly the Navy.
