Am I allowed to look in my book?
-
there was an old guy on itv's this morning program today , he predicts the weather and pretty much nails it. Worth a look quite interesting.
-
I had an hour on the push bike last night, the good thing being you can look over hedges and nip down farm tracks to see if anything is about, found a few bunnies but only twos and threes.
-
Or have an evening out with the gun, if you read what PC has been saying the pigeons aren't doing much till after 4pm?
-
always gone on, they don't wait for ref if there are injuries, also it was very very warm yesterday, as soon as ref stops the clock they will be on with the water.
as for the presenter, he is an all time great and was behind the team kicking off so well out the way.
Did you also notice the fans enjoying themselves and having a beer whilst watching the game, excitement all the way football could learn a lot.

awesome, but where is Number 8?
Wouldn't have thought that possible with a pellet till I started reading these threads.
-
if you grow fruit your laughing, they will have done your garden a word of good.
-
Think this is Jdogs version of guess the pellet ?

I would wear it in memory of your father, why lock it away.
Then every time you look at the time memories come back.
thats my thinking, did your old fella wear it? My Grandad had a rolex which went to his son, but I can't ever remember him wearing it, it was just kept out of the way.
I have day and night watches, sounds odd none of them are more than £150 but I'm not wearing my good watches in the garden.

the pink hawthorn is midland hawthorn, one of my favorite trees just looks really nice in blossom.
-
you must be able to spray them now you know what they are?
bit of useless info, we were in Astley park, chorley today and I saw some of the biggest chestnut trees I've seen.

Alright
Just been dragging some windblow/timber out the bottom of a wood and noticed a lot of pink flowers.
Been googling Himalayan Balsam and i have seen it before but just been a few years, it does look very similar but pretty sure its not (stem greener, leaves seem hairy and only growing 2-3ft high, the only flower i picked for comparing has 7 petals if that makes a difference) That area does lie into a road so it is a likely place for it to spread along
Wot are the most likely native species likely to be?? I'm pretty sure its native just a bit paranoid about plants like that, atleast not *** bad as JKW
Ps i'm rubbish with computer so putting a photo of the flower would probably take me all day. ?
Cheers
if you take the picture on your phone its really easy now to upload them, just press the click to choose files below, go to your photos, select the one you want, then it appears just press the plus symbol then add any text.

Very nice, Ultra. But I refuse to give the Swedish elves my money. Those that do, definitely have a 22lr equivalent. My R10 is more like a gap wedge.
Does it count if you buy one second hand, so the elves don't get your money?
Are you a dwarf by the way ?

Audi drivers have to drive like tools, think it's in the manual.
As for the birds is it down to the heat? I would have thought they'd be there early then late?
-
Thanks, just went and checked behind the plate again and they're cross head bolts, but think I might be able to hold the head in place with a nail file.
have you not got a 90 degree screw driver? They rarely get used but priceless when needed. If you can find where they are.

talking about bugs and insects, I went back into work this morning because one of the lads cars was absolutely peppered with dead stuff, I drive the length of the M55 every time I go to work, all farm land either side and get very little. He said he had been to Newcastle and his white car was covered.

they have a system.............2 of them rag the bird feeder one of them on the side and one upside down...if they cant pull it off the branch they rag the fat balls and they fall to bits and fall on the grass where the other ones are waiting to snatch up the broken food.....i put 5 fat balls in the feeder at 7 in the morning and by 10 in the morning the same day, they had all gone....the fat balls usually last a week and a half....i will wait till i gat the mercury mod S back fit a taticle sight to it....then its going to be jackdaw armegeddon......
i do not like shooting birds in my garden...but this has gone too far..............
Last year i decieded to let all the borders and around the tress go back to nature...i scratched in some wildflower mix and left it...not a lot happened last year...but this year all i do is prune (lift) the trees and cut the grass..............it is a wildlife heaven....i must have increased the bird life and buzzy things by 100%............very very pleased with the result....
apart from the jackdaws....i dont mind 1 or 2 visiting...but this is too much....everybody in the village is complaining about them...
I'm disappointed in you ditch man, a simple solution would be to put your fat balls in an enclosed bird table, just put inch and a half ish mesh around the outside, the little tits robins finches won't bat an eye lid they'll land go straight through and feed safely, the big bullies will move on if they can't get an easy feed. And if they don't, you tried your best before shooting them.

and even the corvids are neatly laid out ???
-
looking nice, but are you telling me he hasn't been over that rabbit fence before?
-
wow that sounds good, think your going to get bombarded. If I had got round to sorting my sgc I would be round now with a brown envelope ?
-
seriously £1100 ouch, I saw a pic a few weeks back and I do like the look of it.
but is it a galahad? That AA do? Similar looking only nicer.
you would think that at that price the barrel would be fully shrouded and the rifle as quiet as quiet can be?
-
can you make a citizens arrest using your car? Squish. Just a shame that armed police didn't come along and decide he was a terrorist.
Think most people who bike have been cut up or worse at some point, but going john Rambo seems way over the top.
Tree identification.
