  1. The same as parents, mainly mothers insuring cars that their kids couldn't and then putting them down as a named driver.
  2. Many years ago I was talking to an armed response officer who told me about a incident that they had to deal with. It was to arrest a offender who was known to carry a firearm. They decided to arrest him as he was leaving his residence. Once he had closed the door they challenged him and he immediately placed his hand/arm behind his back. Then quickly pulled it back out and was arrested. Upon being searched a Pistol was recovered from his waistbelt in the small of his back. He asked the guy why he had put his hand behind his back when challenged and he answered that he had momentarily thought about trying to shoot his way out but then thought better of it. I asked him why he had not taken the shot and he said " The fear of being prosecuted if I had got it wrong." I said that I thought he could have been shot and he said that afterwards he had thought long and hard about whether he wanted to stay as an armed officer. I would hazard a guess on there being many incidents like this but never get reported on.
  3. Not boost trade but to see how the labour government can trade our society for a communist one.
  4. Probably down to civil servants playing ball with the government as opposed to frustrating their every move to deport them. Coupled with no labour MP'S protesting or sending letters to the home office.
  5. The fact it took less than 3hrs deliberation, which allegedly included lunch. Plus the gravity of the offence to which the jury would not take lightly. Would suggest the evidence possibly warranted no charge to begin with.
  6. Why then do we not charge everyone who has a complaint made against them. If you say its about showing fairness to all. Officers having carried out their investigation have to go to the CPS for them to decide whether there is enough evidence for a successful prosecution. This case was clearly pandering to woke politics from a community that thinks they are perpetual victims and societies laws do not apply to them because of it. The CPS who work within the law looks at the evidence and then decides whether to charge based on the evidence. I am sure there are hundreds of complaints every day that are not prosecuted due to a non realistic possibility of conviction. Or should we just clog up the courts in order to show fairness. By prosecuting this case it has delayed justice for another who has had to wait for the court space.
  7. Excellent pics as usual. Thanks for posting them.
  8. Possibly suspected possession of a prohibited samurai sword. You can not own one unless certain criteria is shown. They may suspect he/it does not.
  9. That is exactly how the CPS view it
  10. Or the convicted terrorist Nelson Mandela?
  11. Yeah you couldn't make it up. Only this country would come up with something like it.
  12. Apparently those pensioners living abroad under the Brexit deal get to keep their winter fuel payments.
