Jdog not good time for the arable farmer??? what about all the sheep framers with lambs and ewes under snow, dairy/beef farmers with cows still not out on grass. the knock-on will affect's is feed cost for all not just farmers. you just worry about your pigeons.

These ducks had dark red heads and white stripepy body and the same size as mallard. and fly like teal.

Was going to do them on the shoot nesting tubes. they are not Merganser just looked them up.

When we shoot the flight ponds we have only had mallard,teal, and wigoen ducks, never seen Merganser on the ponds.

They would not be nesting in an oak tree would they? The tree as know trees round it and all the ponds are a good 400m away.

Well this morning doing my rounds feeding cows opened the gate under a oak tree and two duck flew out off it. Never seen ducks like these before they had ruby red heads with white stripes and about the same size as mallard duck. Never thought ducks land in trees so had to google it! It appears they where wood ducks?

My son is dyslexic and me also it’s hereditary. when I first come on the forum researching game management with starting a shoot for my son a lot of reply’s said get him on here. He had a hard time in school with people taking the **** out of him just because he can not spell. Is that is foult? he will not put post on here because of this. but this is a lad that plays county cricket and as done from 10 years old he as played cricket at all the best grounds in the country but not lords yet? That’s good value for money for 120/85 birds. but you have no guarantee what will be put over the guns would you still be willing to pay that if your guns just shot 30 birds. it must have been a big shoot for you to shoot 120 birds at the end of season.
