I started ferreting for the first time this season, all started in the pub with a few to many beers and a mate of mine telling me he had got so young ferrets for sale before you know it I get a phone call to say they are ready but I was not to cut a long story short brought a rabbit hutch, handled them alot got some second hand nets from a member on here and hav'nt looked back since what a laugh they are. the day goes alot quicker than waiting for half a dozen pigeons on rape. cheers john

not wanting to start a fight on here but whats the differance to baiting a field and feeding game to hold them on your patch? not just to try for a record but for a better than day than you might get . just wondering what people thought. cheers john

I dont think a speed controller is important if yours is the wiper motor type it will have two speeds anyway, saying this I have one but only as I have a flapping kit so need to slow it down a bit or I find it doesnt work properly. spend the money on more lead or coys shoot to kill john

I shoot RC30's and get on very well with them and at £105/1000 pretty good value to I have used the 32grams you talk about but tend to stick with the 30's John

I have a flapper and I don't think its a waste of time It will pull more birds for sure I run mine on a cable from the hide for the reason I don't won't it flapping when a bird is comming in and spooking them I would like it remote but for the cost of a remote unit at £65 I can buy another flapper I think 2 or 3 flappers would be far more deadly than a rotor. hope this is of some use to you dead eye John
