ashleybrook
1. Anschutz 1417 Carbine in .22LR with Mod. 2. Sako Synthetic Stainless in 25-06, good for everything with very low recoil. 3. Can't fault my Beretta 686E Sporter at the mo for clay shooting, I'd maybe go for a higher model if funds were no obeject. Anyone else had much experience with 25-06? Ashley. Frank
Funny this, as i dont have more than 3 anyhow and probably wont have more than that the way things are going over here in southern Ireland  . My Choice would be: Cz .22 lr 452 with Parker hale moderator. Browning varmint stalker in .204. ( I have a Ruger in this caliber, but might swap to a Browning, as these come with a 1 in 10 twist) Cz 6.5x 55. Ashleybrook, I havent vast experience with the 25-06, but managed to shoot one at my local range the other day that belonged to someone else and i found the recoil off it none too pleasent to say the least . Frank
Another 3 would be: CZ 452 .22lr CZ .22-250 Baretta Exreamer 12g semi-auto. In my post above, i mentioned that the Browning Stalker in .204 had a 1 in 10 twist. Well i have found out since that this is not true and that it has an 1 in 12 twist instead. Edited July 14, 2005 by Frank
Guest Mr Pieman
Anschutz carbine - .22lr with moderator (so many rabbits, so little time!!) Sauer 6.5x55 - stops EVERYTHING I've ever pointed it at Baikal 12g o/u full and full chokes. Point it in the right place and things stop moving and, when things get hard, it will double up as a tyre lever, crowbar, hammer, fence post, washing line pole etc etc etc  PP PS Ernya, leave this post alone!!! jpw99
Never really aspired to own anything other than my cheapo, spat upon, abused by all and sundry Baikal 12b o/u - I think it cost me about £175 back in the 80's when i first got my ticket. It's still in good order apart from the wood crack damage which i glued together myself. Can't remember to this day how it got damaged unless it was when i reversed over it :o (only joking lads) Other weapon WH80 or is it HW80 Anyway i know it's German - with scope. I am considering the posibility of another cheapo 12b o/u just to take out on rainy days but i suppose the price would dictate what make it would be. I did not know the police were thinking of reducing ownership numbers - Where was this published as a matter of interest? Cheers Jim the geordie
