Mrs Sweepy
Right it is that time of year again where i disappear under the cloud of flour. The kids have been locked in their rooms. The dogs have been tranquillize. Suzy is in the kitchen and shes making mince pies I have been up since 4am (Sweepy and myself did the big shop) And i am now preparing myself to commence battle on the kitchen floor(seeing as thats where half the food ends up) So this has got me thinking.(am also buying time. Before i face my foe ) What is the one thing you insist on having on christmas day. The one item of food which your mother, wife, girlfriend or even life partner. Has to slave over a hot stove to make or queue in the snow. Just so you can devour it in seconds Them complain that it not as good as mums Or they smaller then they used to be. My lot just love marmite whirls. And yes you guess it they not. Now thats why they only get them once a year. xxxSuzy Once i have finished the baileys is going to get it.

Fatcatsplat
Suzy - Cement mixer and Baileys - Cocktailtastic!!!! Half Shot Bailey's Irish Cream Half Shot lime juice Fill half the shot Glass up with The Baileys and then add the Lime Juice...The Lime Juice will sit nicely on top of the Baileys As it mixes in your Throat the Lime will solidify the Baileys and give it a will go down in Lumps (Good Shot to try on your mate)

Roast Parsnips - really long, tapering ones that have that perfect balance of sweet, yielding flesh, and crispy, greasy tips. Cooked in the run-off from the goose, the way that nature intended. De-lish. LS

burntout
Since making some the other day from scratch it has to be home made custard - however this is a recent addition. Historically - the brown turkey meat. Only bit worth eating - especially the stuff underneath. Or the skin. I could just eat the skin quite happily. Now get on with those pies!
