Over Christmas I did a lot of driving around East Suffolk and just over the boarder into Norfolk and despite seeing dozens of rape fields none had any pigeons on them , indeed there seemed very few pigeons in the area Beccles to Yoxford and up to Loddon. What few pigeons I did see were all feeding on hawthorns.

ive been shooting over the rape.

its my first winter with a shotgun and i found it to be fun and still worth standing out in the cold.

ther eare alot of big patches were the pigeons have hit it very hard.

i think its better for you to get out and show your face to the farmer.

and it will still be nice to get out and shot even if your get a poor bag.
