Robbly
Auto's that is ....... Ok there's 2 schools of thought that I know of. No1 Dripping, keeping the action covered in oil (the more the better). No2( my favoured option)oil after cleaning then wipe off leaving the action "dry" so's not to attract to much ****. What do you guys think? opinions please
alfa taf
No 2 for certain.
Edward
If you have a wooden stock, you dont put to much on, as it will seep into the wood and ****** it over time. My escort had a synthetic, so I just sprayed the moving parts over with legia spay and put away
VicW
Option 2 for gas operated guns ,I have no experience of the recoil versions.
MartynGT4
Definately No 2 You don't want your stock being weakened by oil soaking into it... common cause of split stocks

seeker
If you want to stop oil / water etc soaking into the inside of the stock head why not seal it with a few thin coats of Tru-oil (or similar)? Works on the outside too. I was talking to a practical shotgun shooter .. he uses Breakfree liberally and stands the gun muzzle down .. humperdingle
I rub down all metal parts with a rag sprayed with Legia, and then give the action a quick spray of Legia before putting away.
