Ozzy Fudd
12 bore's dont leave too much of a rat left to eat but i once got an email showing some chinese country preparing rats, they burnt all the hair off with a blowtorch, then gutted it and jointed it, dipped it in flour (i think) and fried it, came out quite nice looking ill take a look and see if i can find it online

pyr8
seen it on telly.documentry from india.they get paid a bounty for every one they kill.they use home made catapults.the men go into the town at night hunting and they kill masses of them.collect the bounty.then take most to the crocodile farm to feed the handbags and the rest go home with them.they chuck them on a fire whole, guts still in and just dig in when they,re cooked. killer rabbit (r1000)
don't fancy the idea myself, all the rats around here are ferral - you don't know what they're carrying! (the shorter list would be what they're not carrying...) :good:

Shuck.
seen it on telly.documentry from india.they get paid a bounty for every one they kill.they use home made catapults.the men go into the town at night hunting and they kill masses of them.collect the bounty.then take most to the crocodile farm to feed the handbags and the rest go home with them.they chuck them on a fire whole, guts still in and just dig in when they,re cooked. i thought thats why they invented the infusion of herbs & spices to make curry.. to cover the taste of the bad tasting rats anyway would only eat one if i was starvin in a jungle

Billy.
I've been told, (I'm sure I'll be corrected) that when the special forces are on duty, they're allowed to eat practically anything in an emergency situation. So they can have a swan, if need be. However the one animal they're strictly forbidden to eat, is a rat.
pyr8
can,t see why if it,s cooked properly.apparently all mamals are edible, except a polar bears liver which is toxic.one of those daft facts that you seem to remember.

covlocks
Nothing wrong with squirrel - just not a lot of meat on them. As for rat - well they ate it in Celebrity Get Me Out of Ere and Channel 4 got done in Australia for cruelty. As for me - i'd rather kiss the Muvver-in-law than eat rat
