Frenchieboy
It sems very early for cubbing doesn't it? If this is a general trend across the country could this mean that it is going to be a "bumper year for foxes"? The farmers up our way are just preparing for lambing, maybe it's time for me to think about a few more late nights around the lambing sheds! ollie
I have never saw cubs this early. not doubting you mate but are you sure the fox that was dead wasn't just a runt? I have shot a couple of dog foxes this year not much bigger than a cat. Also was the elder on the vixen swollen and starting to lose fur? If so then she probably was ready to cub. The earliest I have ever known foxes to cub was the week before st. paddys day.
jamie g
all parts are different. i wouldnt be surprized if there are cubs about now. i guess it depends on the lambing season. as most foxes fall right on it.
MerseaDavid
I have seen a few fox cubs recently on my neighbours farm because his sheep have started lambing so I shall be out on his land soon
bignoel
i have a job for tomorrow to set x 2 traps for a litter in a very posh part of surrey they are wrecking one's lawn and flower beds .they are about
ollie
I actually thought that the cubs would have been later this year due to our cold winter. I believe the theory that the cubs usually coincide with lambing time, that will be round st.paddy's day for us.
