activeviii
not the best photos but my heart was banging good and proper. while walking the dog around the farm that i shoot the foxes. i can only shoot t at night due to horse riders walking up a ride i came across this fox. about 30 meters away I sat the dog up and i walked to the corner of a fence. gave a little squeak just to try getting his head up but the bu66er came running. he stopped 4 foot away from me and just looked at the dog. bad photo but gives the idea. he is about 6 foot away in this photo as you can see he is still walking in. couple of my lad as i havent taken any of him for a long time. 17 months old now. pup playing hide and seek. just got him in to hartpury collage for gun dog training as i having a problem i cant fix. hope they have come out ok. all the best Phil. Billy.
Very impressive, but I don't think that the branch will hide your dog's identity
activeviii
I just thought it was a typical thing my pup would do. he is a right character, so i added the photo..lol. thank you Dave charlie isn't very sharp but then i was in shock on how close he was. he didn't even look at me, he/she was fixated on the dog as i was crouched down in a hardwoods APG jacket, next to a fence post. al4x
good pictures, I've had this happen twice recently where the fox was so intent on the dog it didn't run off, being a pointer mine tends to just stop and watch. Both standoffs lasted close to a minute before the fox got twitchy and the pointer ceased being pointer and turned into fox hound GWP's can be toe rags at times and mine does it with the best
garymc
Great pics, one of those moments where most people only wished they had a camera, but you did! Well done! Cracker dog as well.
activeviii
saw another two today. bit easier in the snow to see them. but no camera with me this time or rifle baited for tonight though if i can get a lamps man to come or it will be a case of trying to see in the dark against the snow. i have done it before but not as easy.
