Whitebridges
Looks good, have fun with it. Looks like the old stock Beretta S/A's will tumble in price? The Browning Maxus is now available in the UK they say.

COACH
I had a guy turn up for a lesson about a month ago with a new one but it just would not recycle a bloody thing. We shoved just about everything we could find through it but not once did it recycle/reload. He took it back and they said to put a lot of big stuff through it for a month or so to loosen it up, so he did. It now recycles anything up to 28g but will not recycle anything lighter.....yet. It may be just a one off ....I hope, but a new gun costing that much money should do exactly what it says on the tin. He`s spent a fortune on 32g, and magnum cartridges trying to loosen it up. Says in the booklet that came with my 391 urika light that it would cycle 24grams and even subsonics with a 28" barrel so I'm surprised this one wont do that, what with it being a latest model an' all
COACH
I have a Urika 2 and I`v had a lot of recycling problems with that, it`s been back to GMK twice. It`s a nuisance because I really like the gun.

As matching pairs go they look spot on!!! Anyway, I don't know this one, what have you had in the past to compare it with, I have the 391 Gold, and Mr Beretta does seem to have "improved" things quite a lot since that, but I am well happy with mine, so a review, in time, would be appreciated!! COACH
Without going OT too much, did you find out the problem and did you get it fixed No not really. It is a bit better than it was, don`t know why. I may send it back again or I may put a lot of big stuff through it for a while, not sure yet as can`t find the time to do it. Could take it up to the shooting ground but it`s against the rules to use the big cartridges and expensive of course.

You lucky man Im waiting untill a synthetic camo version comes out Strip it down and give it a good clean, to get all the factory grease off it, it will help reduce any initial cycling issues whilst bedding in

''One last bit of good news: although most workers were out on a scheduled strike on Friday when I toured the plant (Beretta is in Italy, after all). I saw rows and rows of finished Xplors ready to ship. The 3 1/2- inch , wood stocked versions will be out next month, with synthetic waterfowl guns and a sporting gun to follow soon. The Xplor lists for around $1600 in 3 ½-inch versions. Three-inch guns should list for $100 or so less.'' As you suggest, may take a while, but it looks promising that they will be produced I want one for wildfowling mainly, so not in any great rush. jinxy72
well finally got out today ( escaped from the kids and the mrs ) ... went down to west kent to try the A400 . Now bearing in mind it aint fired any carts prev ( so wasnt bedded in at all ) i expected a few hic-ups . I took a mixture of 28g carts ( shooting ground limit ) ... I picked the heaviest first ... blue diamond fibre .... gun didnt have an issue .. then the next down a 28g rc cart ( 70mm ) ... the gun loved these and no issues ... then the last which was a 28g gamebore ( one off production ) plastic ( 65mm ) ... cycled ok apart from a few ( prob 4 out of 100 ) jams ..... which i put down to A) 65mm cart gun not bedded in yet ( my permission is water logged atm so cant use any bigger loads yet ) . The gun felt really good , well balanced and not whippy at all saying it has a 28" barrel ... was curious about if the gun would take the recoil as good as claimed ( seeing that it only weighs about 6.5 lb ) and must say i was really impressed ... the kick off pad did take some getting use to though ( bout 25 carts ) as ive never really shot one before ( apart from few shots ) but after i had got use to it .... it was great i fired 150 today with no fatigue or aches / pains at all .. would have carried on but i got bored as i was shooting alone and the ground was empty  overall first impressions .... I LOVE IT ... just cant wait now until it is fully bedded in so i can use it as the complete all-rounder i bought it for ( though 28g for clays aint a bad thing )
