Bluebarrels
not according to this months sporting gun mate, normal shells are rated just the same as flocked last a lot longer too,and by the time pigeons notice the difference they should be well in range BB
rigwallet
Does anyone think flocked decoys are better than normal ones ?? flocked are better but soon become flockless and to quickly far my likeing
Cranfield
I have flocked shells that are still almost perfect, after quite a few years rough and extensive use. It does pay to buy the better (more expensive ?) ones, as there are a lot of cheap alternatives about that leave more flocking in the packaging than on the decoys. I also use the sillosocks sleeves on the rest of my plastic (unflocked) shell decoys and really rate their presentation. I think the wet, shiny look of some plastic decoys does put off the pigeons. Although I have no scientific evidence to support this, if I am not confident in my layout, then I am not happy. So I prefer flocked, or sillosocks jackets on my shells. Thats a fair comment, the downside to un-flocked shells/decoys is the sun and rain
shakin stevens
i use me flocked deeks on the drillings and me normal deeks on the rape, i think normal deeks are more visable on the rape than the flocked deeks, the flocked ones are a pain they dont take much to fetch the flocking off and are very expensive! motty
If you buy decent flocked decoys, the flocking will take years to start coming off.

The fleabay ones started to lose their flocking straight away, were coloured an unaturally light grey and were basically rubbish in comparison with the UKSW ones, which weren't that much more expensive after PW discount.
