the hitman
I have often said on here that i use maionchi prima 28g no7s for decoying, and very good they are, but i bought some eley olympics 28g 7.5, and after a field test at the weekend , they are a good shell for the price £138 per 1000. They have less recoil then the primas and kill very nicely over decoys.
COACH
They are the best value trap cartridge on the market today, very hard hitting as they were made for the Olympics. Only one problem with them, they only come in plastic wads. From a personal point of view, growing up in the beautiful countryside, I hate seeing empty cartridge cases and plastic wads every where. It`s not necessary.

Mr Potter
If you read the thread on the Hodnet Police Shoot you will see that Son of Potter was Pigeon Watch H/G with a 90 x 100. Go on guess which cartridges he was using, you're quite correct Eley Olympics in 8s for all but 1 stand when he used Eley Superbs in 7.5 and that's only because he didn't have any Olympics in the larger shot size. It's not the cartridge that matters, it's the pillock pulling the trigger. Son of Potter's father.
Anni
I was using them aswell as SOP today at Hodnet and did an 89. And acording to Mr potter I was by a country mile Man of the Match There a good value cartridge that hits anything. Although I use them in 7.5's. PhewI was reading the head diameter.. (which is what btw ?) It's not the diameter of anything, but a length. It's the length of the brass plated steel "head" at the base of the cartridge. A marketing ploy by cartridge manufacturers who would have you believe the longer it is, the better performing the cartridge is, when in reality it has as much effect on ballistics or performance as the price of fish in Timbuktu Edited March 26, 2010 by Blunderbuss

slated
eley olympics I found them to be a very dirty cartridge (should come with a free brush) for clays I like Fiocchi Top ones, 7.5 28g plastic, clean don't beat you much and if you put it in the right it will even break the clays Edited March 26, 2010 by slated

Anni
Olympics aint dirty Not as dirty as Gamebore, I was allways cleaning unburnt powder out with them, aspeacially in a semi auto. Allways found Fiocchi's to be abit flat meself but like has been said in the right place they break stuff. Try and use a clean cartridge in a semi auto if you can. Olympics work well in mine with no jams,
